# Overview

Survive countless hordes of enemies with your friends by building and defending your base, using supports, and living through special waves.

## How to play

Wave Defense is, as you may guess from the name, a horde survival game mode. Build your base while gaining points for completing rounds, killing enemies, and destroying vehicles.

Points (supply points) allow you to purchase buildable objects (from the build menu), call-able supports (from the unlockable support menu) and items (from the unlockable arsenal menu). Find the support menu and arsenal shop pickups around the defensive AO to unlock both menus at the bulwark box.

## Features

- Wave spawning system. Dynamically spawns waves of enemies that seek and destroy around the bulwark box. Enemies include infantry as well as vehicle spawning. The higher the number of waves completed, the more difficult the enemies spawned.

- Dynamic loot system. Loot spawns in buildings in the defensive AO. Find weapons, meds, and other consumables and equipment to protect yourself and your base.

- Support menu and arsenal shop. Find the support menu radio & arsenal box (randomly spawned in buildings throughout the AO) to unlock the support menu and arsenal shop at the bulwark box. Call in supports for points in the support menu such as mortar rounds, or friendly infantry among many other things. Buy and sell items through the arsenal shop for points.

- Build your base with a special build system that allows for placing some objects indoors to fortify buildings. Use the - and = key to move buildable objects up and down before placing them. Placed buildables need to be built with an entrenching tool (purchaseable from the arsenal shop or found in loot spots).

- Configuration menu. At startup, you can adjust many of the game mode setting to your liking. This allows you to customize things such as loot spawn rates, difficulty options and AO zone location selection options (or even select the zone manually) however you wish.

- Dynamic(ish) weather system. At the start of each wave the weather and time of day are set depending on if a few rolls are successful or not. Makes firefights feel a bit more dynamic than just having the weather and time of day be clear and at noon!

- Special waves. Special waves offer more challenges to the standard wave. Watch out for mortar fire!
