Summary
Suite of small but hopefully useful utilities to expand your possibilities and enhance RP.
Description
0.0.23 Using 'Play As' or AliasSwitcher will now make the unit you switch to the leader of his group for making immediate adjustments to squad's tactics! If you are playing Conflict or some other custom scenario or this messes up game logic in any way - set 'makeGroupLeaderOnSwitch' to false in $profile/THE_Mods/THE_Roleplayer/settings.json. 'Play As' and AliasSwitcher feature will continue working as they did previously.
COMPONENTS:
* CHARACTER CONTROL *
1. Go/Break Incognito - switches the targeted unit to Civilian faction and back to its original one.
2. Start/Stop Animation - selected unit will start performing selected animation (right click on unit -> Start/Stop Animation)
* ALIAS SWITCHER *
Did you ever miss our beloved convenient character switching from Arma 3? Say no more. Say hello to THE_CharacterSwitcher (default keybind is F2 - change it in settings).
How the switcher works - the mod relies on $prfile/THE_Mods/THE_Roleplayer/THE_SwitcherAliases.txt file (if not present, it will be created first time you open the switcher menu for the first time). File structure is simply a list of unit aliases separated by new-line.
1. Write down the aliases of units you want to quickly switch between in the file (you can modify the file while the game is running - switcher will pick up the changes on the go).
2. Edit the unit's aliases in GM (you can use any mod that allows editing of units' name/surname/alias fields).
3. Press the switcher key (default is F2) and click on the alias of the unit you want to switch to.
...
PROFIT !!! You are immediately in control of the corresponding unit.
Notes:
1. You can use THE_CompositionsAndLoadouts mod to modify and persistently save units' aliases, loadouts waypoints and animation states - quickly deploy your custom outfitted units and raise hell while constantly switching between them when the situation gets out of hand!
2. To avoid cluttering your context menu you can change the following file - $profile/THE_Mods/THE_Roleplayer/settings.json. Modify contextActions so that only the ones you need appear in our GM (i.e. set "incognitoContextMenu" to false to prevent Go/Break Incognito actions from appearing).
Attention !!! Got no idea if this works or can work in multiplayer. Only tested in Single Player GM and local COE2 sessions.
