Summary
Player Names lets players request a custom in-game name without changing their Steam name.
Description
PLAYER NAMES — Your name. Your server.
Give players a server-specific identity while keeping Game Masters in control. Players request their custom name directly from Settings → Player Names, without changing their Steam name.
Approved names are saved on the server and restored when players reconnect or respawn. Each server maintains its own identities.
Features
Custom names displayed in supported player lists, name tags, voice indicators and Game Master labels.
Requests reviewed through the native player list: hold P → Name Management while in the Game Master editor.
Approve or reject requests using the player’s Options menu.
Approved names remain locked until a Game Master approves a reset to the default name.
Rejected requests block all new requests for 30 real-life days, starting from the refusal.
A rejected reset preserves the approved name.
Game Masters can clear cooldowns and edit a server message displayed in player settings.
Management controls, status labels and status colors are visible only in the active Game Master editor view.
English interface.
Requires only the Arma Reforger base game.
Scenario compatibility
Included integration supports the vanilla full Game Master game mode. Custom game modes require the identity component to be added to their replicated game mode entity. Avoid running another player-name management system alongside this mod.
