Open Garage

Summary

A working repair garage for Arma Reforger.
Drive a vehicle in, put it on a lift and actually raise it.

Description

OPEN GARAGE

A complete vehicle repair garage for Arma Reforger. The lifts are not props - they move, they have working collision, and they lift the vehicle that is standing on them.

WHAT'S INSIDE

Structures
- Garage hall - a drive-in workshop building.
- Two-post car lift - four swing arms that open into a V as the lift rises, moving chain and cable in the posts, a switch box you walk up to, and lift sound. Travel 1.65 m.
- Four-post lifting machine - a solid full-width deck with approach ramps, operated from the control box on the post. Travel 1.90 m. The deck is one continuous platform, so any vehicle track width fits.

Props (26)
Tyres, flat tyre, three rim types, tyre rack, wheel aligner, air compressor, workbench, tool box, metal rack, shelf, crate, barrel, barrel pallet, drum, gas cylinder, fuel can, fuel rack, electrical cabinet, fire extinguisher, fridge, coffee machine, chair, couch, road block.

HOW TO USE

1. Place "OpenGarage_CarLift" or "OpenGarage_LiftMachine" from the prefab browser, or spawn it in Game Master.
2. Drive the vehicle onto the lift.
3. Walk up to the control box on the post and use the action.
4. Use it again to lower.

The lift carries both players and vehicles. You can stand on the arms or the deck and ride up with it.

FOR MISSION MAKERS

- All prefabs are plain GenericEntity / StaticModelEntity prefabs, no scripting needed on your side.
- The lifts use a ProcAnim signal named "Lift" (0 = down, 1 = up), so you can drive them from your own script through the SignalsManagerComponent if you want.
- Collision geometry uses the BuildingFireView layer with the metal_3mm surface, so vehicles, characters and bullets all behave normally against it.
- No dependencies other than the Arma Reforger core data.

KNOWN LIMITATIONS

- The lifts are designed for wheeled vehicles up to roughly the size of a Humvee or a light truck. Very heavy or very long vehicles may behave oddly.
- The two-post lift's arms swing outward while rising. Drive in with the lift fully down.
- Vehicles that were already broken or thrown around by other means will not be picked up correctly.

FEEDBACK

Bug reports and suggestions are welcome in the comments. Please say which vehicle and which lift, and add a screenshot if you can.
