Milsim Creator Framework-Core

TEST BUILD - UNFINISHED - NOT FUNCTIONAL FOR PLAY

This addon is not finished. It is published only so that it can be tested on
dedicated servers with real players, which cannot be done any other way. It has
no screens yet, so players cannot use most of what is described below, and
things will change or break between versions without notice. Do not run it on
a server people play on, and do not build missions around it yet.

If you are helping test it: thank you. Read the test plan in the repository
and send the [MCF-ID] lines from your server log.

MILSIM CREATOR FRAMEWORK - IDENTITY MODULE

Who a player is on your server, and how he deploys. Identity gives every
player one fixed character, lets the Game Master decide which squads exist and
what each may carry, and keeps a service record that a unit can look back on
years from now. It stands on its own beside Core: no other MCF module is
needed.

WHAT IS BUILT (SERVER SIDE)

Squads set by the Game Master
- The Game Master defines the squads, their names, sizes and which of them
  carry command rights
- They appear in the normal squad list when players join
- Players cannot create, rename or overfill squads; the server refuses it
- Names stay as the Game Master wrote them when leaders change

A fixed character
- Name, face and voice chosen from the faction's own set, kept per player on
the server and applied every time he spawns
- Rank, unit and role are set by an officer or the Game Master, not by the
  player
- The nametag and the dogtag show the character, and admins still see the
  platform name
- Rules for changing a character (where, what, how often) are server settings

Service record
- Time on the server and time deployed, deaths, kills split into players, AI
  and friendly, squads served in
- Counted by the module itself and kept on the server

Kit rules
- Kit profiles per squad, per role or for the whole server
- The server checks every item against the profile and removes what is not
  allowed, saying what and why

WHAT IS NOT THERE YET

- No screens: no character screen, no squad board, no loadout editor in the
deploy menu. Those are the next step
- Nothing has been tested with two players or with players joining late
- The optional unit website and its link are not built

SETTINGS

One file on the server, $profile:MCF/identity/settings.json, written with
defaults on first start: milsim or roleplay profile, character slots, the rules
for changing a character. The website connection is off by default and nothing
of it runs while it is off.
