Congos Tactical Graphics

by TheRealCongo

2.1.0

v 2.1.0

New
- Click to place: pick a symbol or tool and every map click places one. Lines and areas finish with Enter.
- Shortcuts: Ctrl+S saves. Ctrl+Z undoes the last point or unsaved graphic, and brings back graphics you deleted (your last 20 this mission).
- Game Masters: GM SHARE TO now starts on your own faction and stays where you set it. A new SEND button shares the selected graphic, or your unsaved batch, with the faction you picked. Selecting a graphic shows which faction it is shared with.
- Custom player names: set a prefix and a name in the map's settings popup. Servers that used BFS Custom Player Names keep their saved names. Server owners can switch it off in PlayerNames_Config.txt.
- Names from other naming mods now show in CTG.
- The group roster shows your members' radio frequencies at any distance (your own faction only).
- OVERLAYS popup on the bottom bar: show or hide CTG graphics, and turn on building numbers (numbered per 1 km map square, the same for everyone).
- Support-by-fire and attack-by-fire arrows stretch to a second point; tasks are placed with two clicks.

- Optional REST export for server owners, off by default: sends the mission's graphics, and optionally an operation recording (positions, shots, hits), to your own website or ORBAT map. Turning it on may affect server performance.
- The REST export setup guide comes with the mod: CTG writes REST-EXPORT-SETUP.md next to RestExport.json in the server's profile folder at every start.

Fixes
- Graphics no longer carry into the next match after a Conflict match ends. A crash or restart mid-match still restores them.
- The map reopens at your last zoom and position instead of zooming all the way out.
- The sync chip now just says SYNCHRONIZED and turns red when something isn't shared, leaving more room on the bottom bar.
- The bottom bar is centred.
- Save files and start-up updated ahead of the game's planned removal of its old JSON functions.

2.0.1

**Stability**
- Fixed a possible "Too many instructions per function" script error at game start when CTG runs with other large mods. CTG no longer sets any of its saved values when the game loads. Each one is now created the first time it's used.
- Nothing changes for players: map panes still open shown and locked, PLAYER LOCATIONS still starts on, every GM faction box still starts ticked, and a pane you drag still comes to the front.

2.0.0

v 2.0.0 - UI Overhaul / Bifrost Dev Branding/Parity

New map interface
- The map now fills the screen. CTG's controls sit in a top bar, a bottom bar and two side panels: SCRATCH PAD on the left and GRAPHICS on the right.
- New Bifrost-style look: frosted-glass panels, new icons and new fonts.
- Top bar: the seven graphic categories as tabs with icons, buttons to show or hide each side panel, and live readouts for game time, number of graphics and number of players.
- Bottom bar: New, Select, Undo point, Save, Cancel, Delete and Refresh, the 8-digit cursor grid, your current location, the game's map tools, an OVERLAYS button that hides or shows CTG graphics, and a settings button.
- Side panels can be unlocked and then moved, resized or hidden, and they stay on screen. RESET UI puts them back where they started.
- The game's map tools now open in the middle of the screen while the panel is open.
- A status chip shows whether mission graphics are synchronized.

Scratch Pad
- Icon tabs for GROUPS, 9-LINE, 5-LINE, CFF and MEDEVAC. Long forms now scroll.
- Groups are shown as cards you can open and close; your own group starts open. Each card lists its members, marks the leader, and shows player-count and leader chips.
- On/off toggles now show their state in green or red.

Interface settings (new)
- The settings button opens an Interface menu where you can set panel transparency and the accent colour (slider, six presets, black or white). Your choices are saved for next time.

Sand table
- The CLight laser now puts a red dot on the sand table's terrain, visible to everyone nearby, the same way it works on the briefing TV.

1.3.0

v 1.3.0

NEW:Fire Support and MED Evac

- The left panel now has tabs you flip with the < > arrows: Groups, 9-Line, 5-Line, Call for Fire and MED Evac.

- 9-Line: game plan, CAS lines 1-9, and remarks/restrictions.

- 5-Line: the rotary-wing CAS brief, laid out to the TFH Fire Support Manual. Items marked * are mandatory readback.

- Call for Fire: the three transmissions, message to observer/target number, corrections and end of mission.

- MED Evac: the standard 9-line MEDEVAC request.

- Every box shows a grey example of what goes there (for example "Grid 1234 5678" or "Iron 1, this is Titan 1J"). It disappears as soon as you click in to type.

- Your notes are only for you. Nothing is sent to anyone, and they stay filled in when you close and reopen the map for the rest of the mission.

NEW: Plot
- The target location lines (9-Line, 5-Line, Call for Fire) and the MED Evac pickup site have a Plot button.

- Type a 6, 8 or 10-digit grid and press Plot to drop a Target marker (or a MEDEVAC pickup point) on that grid, named after the target description (or the call sign on MED Evac).

- Plotted markers are normal CTG graphics, shared using your Share With setting, and can be edited or deleted like any other.

- Fixed a typo? Press Plot again and the marker moves instead of leaving a duplicate.

- Entries that aren't a grid (bearing/range, TRP) are refused, so nothing lands in the wrong place.

NEW: 8-digit map grid

- The grid shown at the map cursor now reads 8 digits (10 m) instead of 6 (100 m).

- The grid and height numbers by the cursor are larger and easier to read.

1.2.3

Added
- Catalogue-wide search for units and tactical graphics by name, prefix, and common abbreviation. Results show their category and open the selected item.
- Personal control to show or hide friendly player positions, plus a Game Master control for the shared player-location setting.
- Portable WarBoard model for the map item, with faction variants.

Improved
- Moved Search above the catalogue and compacted the six visible preview rows.
- Labeled Rally Point “RLY” while keeping Release Point “RP”.
- Filled areas can be selected by clicking inside them; outline-only areas remain selectable at their borders.
- Point editing now highlights the nearest point, moves it only when dragged, and provides Insert after, Remove point, and Done point controls.
- Controller navigation for categories and gallery pages, while keeping map panning and the vanilla map toolbar available.
- Map panel handling when opening or closing the map alongside other addons.

Fixed
- Searching for a unit by name no longer changes its echelon to Platoon.
- Clicking the map releases focus from Search or graphic-property text fields. An active search clears without consuming the map action.
- A player’s local position-visibility preference is retained when positions are disabled globally.

1.1.9

Fixed:
-Controller (gamepad) map zoom drifted to the wrong point. With a controller, the virtual cursor is tracked screen-absolute while vanilla ZoomSmooth treats it as map-widget-relative. CTG insets the map frame, so the two frames diverged and zoom anchored away from the cursor — and off-map entirely when the cursor sat over the CTG panel.

-SCR_MapEntity.ZoomSmooth now remaps the cursor to the map widget's origin (via GetScreenPos + DPIUnscale) before delegating to base, mirroring vanilla's mouse branch, then restores the original cursor values. Zoom-to-center calls are passed straight through untouched.

-Zoom bounds now respect the inset workspace. UpdateZoomBounds uses the CTG map workspace width instead of the full screen, so min-zoom clamping matches the visible map area.

- Improved compatibility with other map-modifying addons by using standard map open/close events.

- Fixed CTG panels failing to appear in some mod combinations.

- Added initialization safeguards and cleanup to prevent duplicate panels when reopening the map.
