Summary
Have you wanted to interact with radio devices in this game the way you would with their real counterparts? I made this mod just for this.
Description
So far only AN/PRC-68 and R-148 are changed. Both radios are one transceiver. Frequency/channel can be adjusted also when the device itself is OFF
AN/PRC-68:
> 10 pre-programmed channels, CH0-CH9
> Programming menu, simulating turning real rotary switches inside the radio. Resulting frequency chart is displayed
> Frequency range: 30.000 - 79.950 MHz with 50 kHz steps. (NOTE: Programmed channels are inevitably 200 kHz apart, by radio design)
> Physical interaction matching the real radio, channel knob rotation is synced with radio menu and wraps around (CH9 <-> CH0)
> Power knob is synced with radio menu as well
R-148:
> Adjustment of both knobs physically, left one for MHz and right one for kHz
> Dial showing the correct frequency and synced with radio menu, together with knobs
> Regular adjustment of kHz within radio menu, modifier for adjusting MHz (Ctrl by default, can be changed in Controls menu)
> Frequency range: 37.000 - 51.950 MHz with 50 kHz steps
> Working backlight. Needs power to be ON and backlight button to be held down
All in-game languages available
Planned:
> Remaining radios: R-148E, AN/PRC-77, R-107M, RF-10
> Volume control
> Ability to cycle through frequencies in use by squads/platoon if accessible with current programming
