Kova x ATAK

Kova x ATAK Plugin Core

Kova x ATAK 3D Map adds a 3D terrain view to the tablet, opened as a pane over the flat map. It builds a miniature of the area around you with real relief and satellite imagery, then projects your whole tactical picture onto it.

Features
- Terrain relief with satellite drape, contour lines, roads, buildings and runway markings
- Markers, waypoints and routes, drawings, friendlies and place names shown in 3D
- Orbit, pan and zoom with the mouse, the numpad, or the controller sticks and triggers
- Cursor mode on a controller to click buttons and markers without leaving the pad
- Its own brightness slider in the Display settings, separate from the device screen
- Press period to toggle the view, rebindable under Controls > ATAK 3D

Server admins can tune the render budgets and frame caps, or turn the 3D view off entirely, in the Kova x ATAK config file. Console frame and resolution caps are set separately.

KOVA CONTENT LICENSE
Version 1.0 - September 2026
Applies to: Kova x ATAK and its official plugin addons, and to any other KOVA release that names this license.

WHAT THIS DOCUMENT IS

Kova x ATAK is built and maintained by KOVA. This document tells you what you may and may not do with it. It is a custom license issued under Section 3 of the Arma Reforger Workshop Terms of Use (https://reforger.armaplatform.com/workshop-terms), and it is built on the Arma Public License - No Derivatives (APL-ND, https://www.bohemia.net/community/licenses/arma-public-license-nd). Where this document is silent, APL-ND applies. Where this document is stricter, this document applies.

In short: play with it, run it on your server, stream it, build plugins that talk to it. Do not sell it, repack it, port it, or take it apart. Want to change something? Ask in the KOVA Discord first.

1. OWNERSHIP

Everything in this mod that is not Bohemia Interactive's engine or base-game content is the work of KOVA: the scripts, configurations, user interface, device models, textures, materials, icons and layouts. Third-party assets, where present, are credited on the Workshop page and keep their own terms for those assets only.

2. WHAT YOU MAY DO

2.1 Use the mod in Arma Reforger for personal, non-commercial play.
2.2 Run the mod on a game server, including community servers, provided the server does not charge for access to the mod or to any feature the mod provides.
2.3 Record, stream and publish gameplay that shows the mod, including on platforms that pay creators through their standard partner programmes.
2.4 Build and publish a plugin that depends on Kova x ATAK through its published plugin interface. A plugin is a separate mod that requires Kova x ATAK to be installed, does not contain any KOVA file, script, model, texture or configuration, and does not alter KOVA files. Plugins must credit KOVA on their Workshop page.

3. WHAT YOU MAY NOT DO

3.1 No derivatives without permission. This release is APL-ND: you may not create or publish modified versions of the mod or any part of it, meaning no re-exports, re-textures, edited prefabs, edited configurations or edited scripts, other than a plugin as defined in 2.4. If you have an edit or a change in mind, ask first. Permission is granted case by case, in writing, through the KOVA Discord (see Permissions and Contact below), so that every approved change is on record.
3.2 No redistribution. You may not reupload, mirror, bundle or repack the mod or any of its files, on the Workshop or anywhere else. Point people at the official Workshop page instead.
3.3 No extraction. You may not extract, decompile, reverse engineer or copy KOVA scripts, models, textures or configurations out of the mod for use elsewhere.
3.4 No other games. The mod is for Arma Reforger and other Bohemia Interactive products that natively support Arma Reforger content. You may not port or adapt any part of it to another game, engine or product.
3.5 No commercial use. You may not use the mod, or any part of it, in a commercial product or a paid service.
3.6 No monetisation. You may not gate access to the mod or to any of its features behind money, directly or indirectly. This includes paywalled downloads, paid membership tiers on Patreon, Ko-fi, Boosty, SubscribeStar or similar that unlock the mod or its features, donation-only server features that require the mod, paid Discord roles tied to the mod, and the sale of in-game items or services tied to the mod. Ordinary server donations that do not unlock anything in the mod are fine.

4. THIRD-PARTY CONTENT

Where the mod includes assets licensed from other creators or marketplaces, those assets stay under their own terms, which are credited on the Workshop page. Their terms take precedence over this document for those assets only.

5. ENFORCEMENT

A breach of these terms ends your permission to use the mod. KOVA may request takedowns of infringing uploads, block infringing servers and accounts from KOVA services, and pursue legal remedies where warranted.

6. NO WARRANTY

The mod is provided "as is" and "as available" with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. KOVA does not promise that the mod is suitable, reliable, available, accurate or complete for any purpose.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent the law allows, KOVA is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the mod. That includes lost data, corrupted saves, server downtime and hardware faults, even if KOVA was told such damage was possible.

8. BOHEMIA INTERACTIVE

Arma Reforger and the Enfusion engine belong to Bohemia Interactive a.s. Kova x ATAK is an unofficial, fan-made addition to Arma Reforger. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or otherwise associated with Bohemia Interactive a.s.

9. SEVERABILITY

If any part of this document is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.

10. VERSIONS AND OUTLOOK

KOVA may revise this license. Each revision carries a new version number. A given release of the mod is governed by the version of this document shipped with that release.

The no-derivatives term reflects where the project is today, not where it has to stay. KOVA intends to open the mod up further in a later version once the plugin interface and the project's structure have settled. Until a revised version says otherwise, the terms above apply in full.

PERMISSIONS AND CONTACT

All permission requests, plugin questions and anything not covered here go through the KOVA Discord, linked from https://kova.host. Requests made there are tracked; requests made elsewhere may be missed and do not count as permission.
