Summary
Main base protection for Conflict: hostile players die at the border, inner safe zone gives damage immunity and locks weapons. Works with random main bases.
Description
CIE SafeZone adds protection to main bases in Conflict, which vanilla does not have. It uses two scripted spherical triggers. Place both at the centre of every potential main base, and only the bases that actually become HQ this round get protected.
DENY (outer sphere)
- A hostile player who crosses the border dies instantly, including vehicle crews and passengers.
- A popup warns hostile players before they reach the border (configurable distance).
- Hostile AI and empty hostile vehicles are left alone.
PROTECT (inner sphere)
- Owner faction infantry takes no damage.
- Every vehicle in the sphere is immune, including rotors, turrets and wheels.
- Buildings, walls, fences and built compositions cannot be destroyed.
- Weapons are locked inside, so there is no teamkilling at spawn.
- Damage comes back as soon as you leave the sphere.
FEATURES
- Owner faction is taken from the nearest base, so it works with randomised main bases.
- Base capture is picked up mid-round.
- Overlapping zones are supported.
- No RPCs: server and client evaluate the zones independently.
- The radius is set with the stock SphereRadius attribute and is drawn in World Editor.
- Localised popups in 13 languages.
For mapmakers: drag CIE_SafeZone_Deny and CIE_SafeZone_Protect from Prefabs/CIE to the centre of each main base, then set SphereRadius (Deny 800–1200, Protect 200–400). All settings are in the "CIE SafeZone" attribute category.
