Summary
Rebalances Ambient Renegades to ~5% hostiles, creating populated towns with mostly civilians and occasional renegades.
Description
AMBIENT RENEGADES EXTENDED
A small gameplay extension for Ambient Renegades and Ambient Civilians that provides a more believable balance between civilians and hostile renegades.
By default, Ambient Renegades uses a mixed pool of civilian and FIA character prefabs. This can result in a very large proportion of the ambient population being hostile, especially when using higher civilian population settings.
This addon changes the character selection logic so that each ambient character has approximately a 5% chance of being a renegade. The remaining population is selected from the civilian pool.
This allows you to increase the Ambient Civilians population settings and have busy towns populated primarily by civilians, with a smaller and less predictable hostile presence mixed among them.
=== FEATURES ===
- Approximately 5% renegade spawn probability
- Civilian population settings still control the overall population
- Does not add an additional spawning system
- Retains the existing Ambient Civilians spawn/despawn system
- Uses the existing Ambient Renegades character pool
- Lightweight modification of the existing prefab-selection logic
