Tree Chopping

A lightweight tree chopping addon for Arma Reforger.

This mod lets players chop down trees with an axe, collect logs, and cut those logs into planks with a hacksaw/saw. It is made as a small standalone system, so servers do not need a full basebuilding or crafting framework just to get simple wood gathering.

Features

- Chop trees with an axe
- Spawn logs when a tree is felled
- Cut logs into planks with a hacksaw/saw
- Configurable log prefab
- Configurable plank prefab
- Configurable amount of planks per log
- Server-side spawning
- Ground snapping for spawned logs and planks
- Optional cleanup through the garbage system
- No full basebuilding system required

look for a saw prop, but can be easy setup the functions if you have the prop

How it works

1. Hit a tree with an axe.
2. When the tree is felled, a log spawns nearby.
3. Use a hacksaw/saw on the log.
4. The log is converted into planks.

Server / Modder Notes

The mod is script-driven and intended to be simple to configure.

You can set:

- Which log prefab trees should drop
- Which plank prefab logs should turn into
- How many planks each log gives
- Which saw or hacksaw item is required
- Cleanup timer for spawned logs/planks
