BS 2.0 — Patch Notes v0.0.6
1. Catastrophic Limb Injuries
Added catastrophic left/right arm injuries.
Added catastrophic left/right leg injuries.
Explosive and fragmentation damage can trigger catastrophic injuries.
Injury chance scales with damage severity.
Catastrophic limb injuries cause increased bleeding.
2. Leg Injury System
Destroyed legs force the casualty into crawl-only movement.
Casualties cannot stand, crouch or walk normally while the injury remains.
Added random severe leg-pain events.
Severe leg-pain events have a 65% chance of blackout/collapse.
Blackouts cause the casualty to ragdoll.
Successful treatment restores normal movement.
3. Arm Injury System
Catastrophic arm injuries restrict weapon use.
Added random chance of dropping the currently held weapon.
Injured players cannot simply equip another weapon.
Attempting weapon use can trigger severe pain.
Pain reaction and audible groaning occur when weapon use is rejected.
Successful treatment restores weapon controls.
4. Pain System
Added persistent pain following catastrophic injuries.
Casualties experience random pain episodes.
Added audible pain groans.
Pain sounds originate from the casualty and can be heard by surrounding players.
Severe injury events produce stronger pain reactions.
5. Visual Pain Effects
Added recurring visual pain pulses/disorientation.
All major PBS injuries can produce visual effects.
Severe pain produces stronger screen effects.
Blackouts receive dedicated visual effects.
All PBS visual effects stop following successful treatment.
6. Concussion System
Severe head trauma can cause CONCUSSION.
Added recurring dizziness and disorientation.
Concussion produces stronger pain pulses.
Severe concussion episodes can cause collapse.
Concussion remains an active PBS injury until successfully treated.
7. Hearing Damage
Added explosion-related hearing damage.
Blast must exceed the configured minimum damage threshold.
Qualifying blasts have a 35% chance of hearing injury.
Hearing injuries are classified as MILD, MODERATE or SEVERE.
Added dedicated HEARING DAMAGE notification.
Hearing damage is removed following PBS medical recovery.
WCS earplug-specific protection remains planned for further integration.
8. Check Injuries
PBS injuries are integrated with Check Injuries.
Casualty inspection can report:
CONCUSSION
LIMB LOSS - LEFT ARM
LIMB LOSS - RIGHT ARM
LIMB LOSS - LEFT LEG
LIMB LOSS - RIGHT LEG
HEARING DAMAGE
Successfully treated injuries are removed from the PBS injury report.
9. Groin Easter Egg
Added hidden 0.1% groin/pelvis hit Easter egg.
When triggered, the casualty receives:
GROIN HIT
"Is my dick still there, doc?"
Also triggers a pain reaction and groan.
10. Full-Heal / Game Master Recovery
PBS now hooks into FullHeal().
Game Master full healing clears active PBS injuries.
Full recovery removes crawl-only, weapon restrictions, pain, groans, visual effects, blackouts, concussion effects and hearing damage.
Normal movement and weapon controls are restored.
Added INJURIES PATCHED UP recovery notification.
11. Medical Treatment Recovery
Added dedicated PBS_MedicalRecovery.c.
PBS now hooks into Reforger's medical support-station treatment system.
Detects both HEAL_DONE and HEAL_DONE_NOT_FULL_HEAL.
PBS can therefore recognise when treatment has reached the maximum amount of healing available, even without a literal full heal.
Successful treatment clears the casualty's PBS restrictions and effects.
12. Medical Kit (U.S.) Support
Added recovery support through the Reforger medical treatment system used by support-station/medical treatment actions.
Treatment performed by another player can trigger PBS recovery.
When maximum applicable treatment is reached, PBS can clear the catastrophic injury state.
Casualty can stand, move and use weapons normally again after recovery.
13. Recovery Cleanup
Successful PBS recovery now clears:
Crawl-only → OFF
Weapon restrictions → OFF
Pain → OFF
Groans → OFF
Screen effects → OFF
Blackouts → OFF
Concussion → CLEARED
Hearing damage → CLEARED
Movement → RESTORED
Weapon use → RESTORED
14. Code Structure
PBS 2.0 v0.0.6 is now split into five primary scripts:
PBS_Config.c
PBS_PlayerController.c
PBS_DamageManager.c
PBS_InspectCasualty.c
PBS_MedicalRecovery.c
15. Build Status
PBS 2.0 v0.0.6 — 0 script compilation errors.

Added a rare 0.1% groin-hit Easter egg notification:
“Is my dick still there, doc?”
Added full-heal reset support for all new PBS effects.
Pain & Audio
Pain sounds are now triggered from the injured character as world-positioned sounds rather than being intended only for the injured player.
Nearby players can hear pain groans from injured casualties.
Screen pulsing and blackout visuals remain visible only to the injured player.
Catastrophic injuries continue to cause recurring:
Pain pulses.
Disorientation.
Pain groans.
Severe pain events.
Leg Injuries
Catastrophic left and right leg injuries now enforce crawl-only movement.
Players remain capable of crawling while prone.
Random severe leg-pain events continue while the injury is active.
Each severe pain event has a 65% blackout chance.
Blackout events can cause:
Screen blackout.
Pain groan.
Ragdoll/collapse.
PAIN BLACKOUT notification.
Initial leg injury can still cause an immediate collapse.
Arm Injuries
Left and right arm injuries continue to prevent normal weapon use.
Players may randomly drop their weapon when the arm injury first occurs.
Attempting to equip or use another weapon while an arm injury is active causes:
Weapon rejection/drop.
Severe arm pain notification.
Strong screen pulse.
Audible pain groan.
Head Injuries
Catastrophic head trauma continues to cause CONCUSSION rather than head loss.
Concussion can cause:
Visual disorientation.
Pain pulses.
Audible groans.
Random concussion waves.

HEARING DAMAGE
Fully healed injuries are removed from the PBS injury summary.
Changed
Leg injuries have returned to a strict crawl-only state until full treatment.
Pain groans are now intended to be audible to other nearby players.
Full healing is now the master reset for all PBS gameplay, visual and audio effects.
Once fully healed, PBS stops affecting the player entirely until another qualifying injury occurs.
Current Limitations
WCS Earplug detection still uses an audio-level compatibility method rather than a direct WCS API.
Medical systems that do not use Reforger's standard FullHeal() path may require a dedicated compatibility hook.
Optional visual limb removal still requires compatible character meshes.
Multiplayer testing is still required for world pain sounds and all replicated injury states.
