VPP Dark Night

This mod is our attempt to deal with the well-known gamma exploit.

Night is only dark for players who play fair. Anyone who raises gamma in their graphics driver or monitor settings sees the whole map, and a server cannot reach that far.

So instead of making the night darker, this removes what the exploit gets out of it.

- The black level is lifted with a soft knee, so the deepest shadows flatten out and stop holding readable detail
- Nothing on screen becomes darker than vanilla - the curve never rises above the original anywhere, so honest players lose nothing
- A gamma slider still brightens the picture, it just no longer reveals anything
- No time-of-day switching, nothing to configure
- Works with night vision goggles
