Keycard Access – Update Changelog
Performance and stability
Removed full-world door scans that could create thousands of unnecessary replicated controllers.
Keycard controllers are now created only for doors configured by Game Masters or restored from persistence.
Persistence now uses registered KCA doors and stashes instead of scanning every world entity.
Added dirty-state tracking and debounced saves to prevent unnecessary JSON writes.
Door lifecycle checks run only while a door is enabled or hard-locked.
No new per-frame callbacks, world scans, or continuous server polling were introduced.
Persistence improvements
GM-placed linked stashes now preserve their position and rotation.
Moving or rotating an existing stash is detected by a lightweight 30-second registered-stash check.
Stash link IDs, prefab, minimum/maximum item limits, and complete applied loot configuration are saved.
Door tier, lock settings, alarm configuration, reset delay, linked stashes, and map-marker settings are saved.
Named loot presets remain stored server-side, while applied preset contents are saved directly to each stash.
Alternating A/B crash-recovery JSON saves remain in place for safer restoration after crashes or restarts.
Map markers
Added a dedicated Map Marker tab after the Keycard Door tab.
Added optional custom marker text with a 30-character limit.
Added independently configurable marker and text colors.
Added independently configurable marker and text sizes.
Added the option to hide a door’s map marker.
Marker icons and text now remain visible at every map zoom level.
Custom text supports PC keyboard entry and native console/controller text entry.
Removed the unsuccessful experimental custom-symbol system and its unused resources, retaining the stable map-descriptor implementation.

Added dirty-state tracking so persistence runs only when settings actually change.
Added debounced saving to combine rapid menu changes into a single save operation.
Prevented the 30-second backup interval from performing unnecessary work when nothing has changed.
Limited structure lifecycle monitoring to enabled or hard-locked keycard doors.
Preserved existing version-2 A/B crash-recovery snapshots and saved configurations.
Confirmed configured door controllers and linked stashes restore correctly after restarting.
Confirmed the Game Master door configuration workflow continues to work with vanilla doors.
No changes were made to keycard tiers, alarms, reset timers, loot configuration, stash linking, or arsenal discovery.
