Summary
A Game Master toolkit for Arma Reforger that lets you toggle name tags, map markers, camera rules, VON, radio range, unconsciousness behavior, cleanup, votes and placement budget — all live, in-game.
Description
⚠️ Work in progress — This mod is still under active development. Features are being tested and improved, and not everything is guaranteed to work correctly yet, especially on dedicated multiplayer servers. Feedback is welcome.
Milsim Master Config gives Game Masters live server and gameplay controls through Game Master editor attributes, under the GameSettings category.
Features
Name tags — Set the maximum distance at which player name tags are displayed.
Squad Leader map markers — Show Squad Leaders on the map; choose icon and color.
Player positions — Show same-faction players and your position on the map.
Third-person camera control — Four modes: Allowed / Vehicles only / Forbidden / Pilot only.
Unconsciousness — Toggle the icon, keep weapons holstered, and allow or block voice while unconscious.
Speaker indicators — Separately show or hide the proximity voice and radio speaker indicators.
Game Master VON in free camera — Use radio voice from the free GM camera without a character (WIP).
Extended radio range — Enable map-wide radio range or keep vanilla ranges.
Garbage cleanup — Toggle automatic cleanup of bodies, wrecks and debris.
Disable Game Master and kick votes — Block GM and player-kick votes.
Disable Game Master budget — Place entities without a budget limit.
Server-specific player names — Request a display name in Settings → GMMod without changing Steam. Approved names persist per server across reconnects and respawns.
Game Master name management — Review requests in the native player list, under Name management. Approve or deny via each player’s Options menu. Controls and status indicators are GM-only.
Approved name resets — After approval, players can only request a GM-approved return to their original name.
Request cooldown — Denial blocks all requests for 30 real-world days. A denied reset keeps the approved name. GMs can clear the cooldown.
Server message — GMs can post a message above the name settings.
Player faction — GMs can move a player to any server faction, including non-playable factions. The change applies immediately and survives respawn. AI groups retain the vanilla faction controls.
Character visibility and damage — From player or AI properties, GMs can toggle visual invisibility and invincibility. The visual state is replicated; AI may still detect invisible characters. These toggles apply to the current character only.
Language — GMMod settings, editor labels and name-management text use French when the game is set to French; other languages use English.
Options apply live and replicate where relevant. Name data and the server message persist server-side. Dedicated multiplayer testing continues.
