Stop Looting
Stop Looting is a lightweight server-side script addon that prevents protected player bodies from being searched after death.
This mod is designed for roleplay servers that need to stop players from walking up to deceased police officers, deputies, or other protected roles and using Search Character to loot their body. Instead of disabling body searching for everyone, the mod uses a readable JSON file so server owners can choose exactly which player GUIDs are protected.
Features
Blocks the vanilla Search Character / dead body loot action.
Only blocks bodies whose GUID is listed in the JSON config.
Does not disable searching every player on the server.
Supports police/officer body protection for RP servers.
JSON-readable and easy to edit.
Automatically creates the config file after the mod runs once.
Non-listed players can still be searched normally.
How It Works
When a player dies, the mod checks the dead character’s Bohemia Player Identity GUID. If that GUID is listed in the config, the body cannot be searched or looted by anyone.
Example:
Officer GUID is listed: officer’s dead body cannot be searched.
Civilian GUID is not listed: civilian’s dead body can still be searched.
Listed officers can still search normal bodies unless those bodies are also listed.
Config Location
After loading the mod once, the server creates:
$profile:Stop Looting/Stop Looting Officers.json
Add protected player GUIDs inside the JSON file:
{
  "Data": {
    "OfficerIdentityIds": [
      "OFFICER_GUID_1",
      "OFFICER_GUID_2"
    ]
  }
}
Restart the server or mission after editing the file.
Intended Use
This mod is mainly intended for police, sheriff, EMS, staff, or protected-role systems where certain deceased players should not be lootable by normal body search mechanics.
Notes
This mod does not remove inventory items, delete gear, or change player loadouts. It only prevents the dead body search action from appearing or being performed when the dead player’s GUID is protected in the JSON config.
