Full description
ThunderLink — TBS Network is the official account and identity bridge for Thunder Buddies communities in Arma Reforger.
ThunderLink securely connects each player’s live Bohemia identity to their roleplay network account using a temporary in-game code. Players never need to locate or manually enter their Bohemia identity.
When an unlinked player joins, ThunderLink generates a unique code and displays clear linking instructions. The player enters that code through the connected roleplay platform. Once the code is accepted, the player’s game identity becomes permanently associated with the correct online account.
Returning linked players are automatically recognized and welcomed back without receiving another code.
Core features
Secure, identity-specific account linking
Temporary in-game link codes
Persistent recognition of linked players
Protection against duplicate identity claims
Clear, persistent instructions for unlinked players
Configurable link-code expiration
Optional mandatory account linking
Configurable grace period for new players
Fresh grace period for every new connection
Temporary welcome-back messages for linked players
Controlled developer unlink authorization
Dedicated-server support
Railway-compatible bridge communication
Account linking
ThunderLink captures the player’s live Arma Reforger identity and generates a temporary single-use code.
The player then:
Joins the Thunder Buddies server.
Records the code displayed in-game.
Opens the connected roleplay platform.
Signs in to their account.
Opens the account-linking section.
Enters the code.
Leaves and rejoins the Arma server.
After rejoining, ThunderLink recognizes the completed account connection and displays a welcome-back message.
Mandatory linking
Server owners can enable mandatory account linking for communities that require every player to have an online roleplay account.
When enabled:
Unlinked players receive a unique code.
Linking instructions remain visible until completion.
Each new connection begins a fresh grace period.
Players have a configurable amount of time to link.
Players who do not complete linking may be removed from the server.
Successfully linked players are recognized when they rejoin.
A 600-second grace period provides players with 10 minutes to complete the process.
Mandatory linking can be disabled at any time through the private server configuration.
Secure network bridge
ThunderLink can communicate with a compatible external platform through authenticated server-side requests.
Supported synchronization includes:
New link requests
Linked-account snapshots
Player connection activity
Identity status
Gameplay events
External account recognition
Game-bank information when supported
Administrative enforcement status
Retry handling during temporary service interruptions
The bridge uses a private server API key. This key must remain inside the server’s private profile configuration and must never be published with the Workshop addon.
Administrative protection
ThunderLink does not permit ordinary players to freely remove a completed identity link.
Development unlinking requires:
An authorized developer
A specialized one-time code
A clear development-use warning
Confirmation from the account owner
Server-engineer guidance
An administrative audit record
This protects player identities, banking associations, activity records, and enforcement actions from accidental or unauthorized reassignment.
Built for serious roleplay communities
ThunderLink is designed to serve as the identity foundation for a connected Arma Reforger roleplay environment.
Once a player is securely linked, compatible external systems can associate the correct account with:
Civilian identities
Character records
Government services
Business ownership
Game-bank records
Citations and court actions
Staff notes and warnings
Temporary sanctions
Permanent bans
Administrative audit logs
Player activity history
ThunderLink does not directly expose private server credentials to players and does not require players to manually submit their Bohemia identity.
Server requirements
ThunderLink requires:
An Arma Reforger dedicated server
The ThunderLink addon
A compatible external account platform
A public HTTPS backend address
A private bridge API key
A unique server identifier
A configured direct or external bridge
Permission for the selected connection method to reach the backend
Security notice
Never include any of the following in a public Workshop release:
Bridge API keys
RCON passwords
SFTP credentials
Database credentials
Private server configuration files
Administrative authorization codes
ThunderLink’s public addon and private server configuration should always remain separate.
