Advanced AI Command
by HOLLOWxPOINT
1.0.8
1.0.8 - Playing as a character now shows only your own faction's squads on the map, even if you have Game Master or admin rights. "Control all factions" still lets everyone see and command every faction. - New Game Master setting: "AAC - Game Master sees all factions" (default on). While the editor is open, choose whether the GM sees every faction's squads or only their own. - New Game Master setting: "AAC - Map icons" (default on). Turn it off to hide everything AAC draws on the map (squad icons, waypoint lines, soldier dots, AAC player markers) for all players. Map commanding is disabled while it's off. Applies live, no need to reopen the map.

1.0.7
v1.0.7 - Fixed: the AAC options in Game Master (Scenario properties > Game: "Control all factions" and "AAC player markers") did not appear in game modes that don't include the vanilla additional-settings component, such as Overthrow. Both settings now live on the game mode itself, so they show up in every scenario. - Settings still sync to all players and default to off, same as before.

1.0.5
Vehicles got a full rework this patch. AAC's per-soldier systems were being applied to men sitting in trucks, which is what made parked vehicles drive off on their own and shuffle back and forth. Mounted squads are now handled as vehicles, not infantry. Mortars can now be given fire missions from the map. Mortars and artillery - A squad on a mortar or static gun shows a mortar icon on the map - New Fire Mission order: click a target and pick how many rounds go on it, from a single round up to firing until told to stop - Spread setting puts the rounds across a beaten zone instead of stacking them on one point - A range ring shows how far the tube can reach; targets outside it are refused instead of becoming an order that never fires - Hold Ctrl to walk a shoot across several targets, fired in the order you placed them - Drag a target marker to move it, or hover it and press Delete to cancel that target - A crew stays a mortar unit even when they step off the gun, until you tell them to Get Out - The range is read from the tube's own elevation limits and the shell's charges, so it is correct for each weapon and for modded ones Convoys - Vehicles travel in Column and hold their order for the whole drive - Trucks keep their spacing from the one in front instead of rear-ending it, so the column stops behind a gate and moves off again together - The lead slows down when the column strings out, and never leaves anyone behind - Trucks pull out one at a time in order instead of all at once - If the lead vehicle is destroyed, the next truck takes over and continues the order - A truck that gets out of position drops back into line on its own - Trailing vehicles close up on the lead once it stops - Attached vehicles show on the map like attached infantry, and now show for everyone on a server rather than the host alone New - Return Fire behaviour: the squad holds fire until something shoots at them, then engages - Get In works with mortars, static weapons and other emplacements, not just vehicles Fixes - Controller: X / A works on the command menu again (broken in 1.0.4) - Auto, Open Fire and Hold Fire no longer lock up the squad when picked - Parked vehicles no longer drive off with no orders given - Vehicles no longer creep forward and back when a squad mounts up or arrives - Garrison / Clear Building: the order is dropped if the building is destroyed, and rubble no longer shows as enterable - Enemy squads can no longer be attached to your own - Intermediate waypoints can actually be grabbed and dragged now

1.0.4
Advanced AI Command 1.0.4 Command menu Hovering and clicking menu rows now uses proper widget input instead of cursor hit-testing. Rows highlight and fire reliably, no more missed or swallowed clicks. The menu now shows a header with the squad type (Infantry Squad, Vehicle Squad, Rotary Wing, Fixed Wing) and its current strength. Formations, Stances, Behavior, Entry, Vehicle and Attach/Detach moved under a collapsible "More" section to keep the main menu short. Panel widened to fit the header and longer labels. Player markers New Game Master option in Scenario properties: "AAC - Enable player markers". Off by default. With it off, AAC leaves the vanilla friendly-player map markers alone and draws none of its own, so it no longer doubles up with Units Map Markers or other marker mods. Turn it on to get AAC's own markers as before. Vanilla markers are correctly restored when the map is closed.

1.8 compatibility Updated for the renamed group-command parameter and the changed recruit-agent signature in 1.8. AAC would not compile against 1.8 before this; no other part of the mod was affected by the update.

1.0.2
Compatibility: the mod's input config is now additive instead of overriding the whole vanilla config. This fixes RHS (and other input mods') radial menus not opening when AAC was loaded. Ctrl-waypoint-chaining is unchanged.

1.0.1
New: "Control all factions" Game Master setting Added a new toggle under Edit Scenario Properties → Game: AAC - Control all factions. Off by default — behavior is unchanged; you command only your own faction's AI. When on, any player can command every faction's AI on the map (move, force move, attack/defend, get in/out, garrison, attach/convoy, formation, stance, hold fire, cancel — all work across factions). Each faction keeps its own color on squad icons, order lines, and destination markers, so it's clear who you're directing. The setting is host-controlled and applies to everyone in the session; you can flip it on or off mid-game. Turning it off leaves any orders already in progress running — it just hands those other-faction squads back to the AI and removes them from your map.
