The original version of this project was removed abruptly, and for those who were caught off guard by that decision, I sincerely apologize.
The reason for its removal was simple: I was not satisfied with the quality of the original port. Rather than continue building upon something that did not meet my standards, I made the decision to completely rebuild the project from the ground up.
Uniforms and equipment have been significantly improved compared to the original release. This version utilizes proper tools and workflows for texture creation, material setup, and alpha implementation, resulting in a higher-quality visual presentation and overall user experience.
In addition to texture and material improvements, many of the 3D models have been reworked to better reflect the realities of the Vietnam War era. Equipment and gear now feature a more worn, field-used appearance rather than a factory-new or overly polished look. These changes help create a more authentic and immersive experience that better represents how equipment would have appeared during active service in the field.
S&S Vietnam Reforger V2 is the result of that rebuild.
This version is intended to serve as the permanent foundation of the project moving forward. Development will continue through bug fixes, improvements, optimizations, and future content additions, including USMC, MACV-SOG, CIA, and other Vietnam-era assets and factions.
Most importantly, I hope this mod helps players create immersive Vietnam War communities within Arma Reforger. Whether you're running public servers, realism units, casual co-op groups, or historical events, I hope S&S Vietnam Reforger V2 provides the tools and content needed to keep the Vietnam War era alive and thriving within the Reforger community for years to come.
The arsenal has also been tailored specifically for the Vietnam War setting. Modern-era equipment has been removed to maintain authenticity and compatibility with Chungus and ARMA RY weapon packs. The goal of this project is to provide a dedicated Vietnam-era experience without the presence of modern equipment that would detract from the setting.
