Backrooms

The Backrooms is a psychological horror concept about an endless, maze-like labyrinth of empty, mundane environments—most famously resembling a vast, abandoned office complex. People are said to accidentally slip through the seams of our physical world, trapping themselves in a parallel dimension of hundreds of millions of square miles of randomly segmented rooms. This unsettling realm is defined by the eerie, quiet dread of liminal spaces, where the only constants are the hum of flickering fluorescent lights, monotonous yellow wallpaper, and the smell of damp carpet. Time and space warp within this claustrophobic network, and while it appears completely deserted, those trapped inside are plagued by the constant, agonizing suspicion that something else is lurking in the shadows with them.
