All required Workshop dependencies remain the property of their respective authors and are governed by their own licenses. Faction Switzerland references these separately installed dependencies and does not grant rights to their content.

DISCLAIMER

Faction Switzerland is an unofficial community modification for Arma Reforger. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or officially associated with the Swiss Armed Forces, Bohemia Interactive, SIG SAUER, B&T or any other referenced manufacturer or organization.

All trademarks, company names and product names belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify represented equipment.

The mod is provided as-is without warranty. The authors are not responsible for incompatibilities, data loss, save corruption, server downtime or other damage arising from its use. Unauthorized redistribution or reuploading is prohibited.

FACTION SWITZERLAND CUSTOM LICENSE v1.0
Effective date: 8 August 2026

Copyright (c) 2026 Faction Switzerland project authors. All rights reserved except where expressly stated below.

1. SCOPE

This license applies only to original content created for and owned by the Faction Switzerland project (the "Mod"). It does not replace or restrict the licenses of Bohemia Interactive, declared dependencies, or separately identified third-party content.

"Protected Assets" include, without limitation, original models and model sources, meshes, textures, EDDS files, materials, animations, sounds, source artwork, UI assets, reticles, scripts, compiled data, and any converted, derived, or substantially similar form of those assets.

2. PERMITTED USE

You may download and use the unmodified Mod for non-commercial gameplay in Arma Reforger. Non-commercial communities and servers may require the official Workshop release as a dependency, subject to all applicable dependency licenses.

3. CONFIGURATION AND PREFAB MODIFICATIONS

You may create private modifications and publish non-commercial compatibility patches consisting only of new or modified Faction Switzerland-authored .conf configuration files and .et prefab definitions, provided that:

- the official Faction Switzerland Workshop release remains a required dependency;
- no Protected Assets are copied, extracted, embedded, repacked, or redistributed;
- the patch contains only the minimum configuration or prefab data required for its purpose;
- clear credit and a link to the official Faction Switzerland Workshop release are provided;
- the patch is not presented as official or endorsed by the Faction Switzerland project; and
- all licenses and conditions of referenced dependencies are followed.

This permission does not extend to scripts, materials, textures, models, sounds, animations, UI resources, reticles, source files, or other assets merely because they are referenced by a permitted configuration or prefab.

4. PROHIBITED ACTIONS

Without prior written permission from the Faction Switzerland project authors, you may not:

- extract, rip, export, decompile, decode, reverse engineer, convert, or recover Protected Assets from Workshop packages, caches, builds, source folders, or any other distribution;
- copy, redistribute, reupload, mirror, repack, sublicense, sell, or publish the Mod or any Protected Asset, whether modified or unmodified;
- use Protected Assets to create reskins, ports, derivatives, asset packs, training datasets, or content for another mod, game, engine, platform, or product;
- remove or alter copyright, attribution, license, or authorship notices;
- use the Mod or its content in a way that suggests endorsement by the project authors, the Swiss Armed Forces, Bohemia Interactive, or any referenced manufacturer; or
- bypass these restrictions by recreating substantially identical assets from extracted or converted data.

5. COMMERCIAL USE AND MONETIZATION

Commercial use and direct or indirect monetization are prohibited. This includes sale, paid access, paywalled downloads, monetized server features, donation-gated benefits, paid services, sponsorship arrangements tied to access, and sale of content or services derived from the Mod.

Nothing in this license grants rights prohibited by a dependency or third-party license. Where another applicable license is more restrictive, that license controls its respective content and use.

6. DEPENDENCIES AND THIRD-PARTY MODS

Faction Switzerland references separately installed dependencies and does not claim ownership of them. Their authors retain all rights, and their own license terms apply independently. Declared dependencies include, among others:

- NV-System (64722DADC53CB75E), under the Arma Public License (APL);
- Attachment Framework (645F08FA9E7CDEDE), under the Arma Public License (APL);
- MOWAG DURO 3P (69673214FAE60C62), under APL No Derivatives (APL-ND);
- G-Series G300 (6996E9DDF9E5F3BF), under APL-ND;
- WCS_Sounds (631C3C1AEE9C90BC), under its author's custom Workshop terms; and
- Bacon Loadout Editor (606B100247F5C709), under its author's custom Workshop terms.

Using Faction Switzerland does not grant permission to copy, modify, extract, redistribute, or monetize dependency content. Referencing a dependency by GUID or prefab path does not incorporate that dependency into this license.

7. SEPARATELY LICENSED CONTENT INCLUDED WITH THE MOD

The following identified content is excluded from the restrictions of this Custom License and remains governed by its own license:

- "SIG SAUER KILO5K Rangefinder Gameready 3D model" by valterjherson1, including the identified source-model material documented in Assets/Items/Equipment/Rangefinders/Kilo5K/ATTRIBUTION.txt: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).
- DSEG font software by keshikan, documented in UI/Fonts/Kilo5K/DSEG-LICENSE.txt: SIL Open Font License 1.1.

The KILO5K exception does not cover Faction Switzerland's original scripts, interface, reticle, gameplay configuration, or unrelated assets. The DSEG exception applies only to the font software covered by the included OFL notice.

8. ATTRIBUTION AND TRADEMARKS

All third-party credits and license notices must be preserved. Arma Reforger and Enfusion are properties of Bohemia Interactive a.s. Product names, company names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify represented equipment.

9. TERMINATION

The permissions granted by this license terminate automatically if you breach its terms. On termination, you must stop using and distributing the affected material and remove unauthorized copies under your control. Sections concerning ownership, restrictions, disclaimers, and liability survive termination.

10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY

THE MOD IS AN UNOFFICIAL COMMUNITY PROJECT PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THE AUTHORS DO NOT WARRANT COMPATIBILITY, AVAILABILITY, ACCURACY, SECURITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. CONTENT, BALANCING, DEPENDENCIES, AND TRANSLATIONS MAY CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE AUTHORS AND CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE MOD, INCLUDING DATA LOSS, SAVE-GAME CORRUPTION, SERVER DOWNTIME, INCOMPATIBILITY, OR HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE DAMAGE.

12. SEVERABILITY AND PERMISSIONS

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Any permission beyond this license must be granted in writing by the relevant rights holder. No failure to enforce a provision constitutes a waiver.

This license is not legal advice. Local mandatory law and applicable platform terms remain unaffected.
