Arma Reforger Custom Terrain License
Version 1.0
This License applies to the custom terrain, map data, terrain configuration files, world files, assets, source data, scripts, packaged content, and all associated materials (collectively referred to as the “Work”) created and distributed by the Author for use with Arma Reforger.
This License is intended to operate alongside all applicable Bohemia Interactive End User License Agreements, modding policies, Workshop terms, and related platform agreements. Nothing in this License supersedes Bohemia Interactive’s rights or policies.
By downloading, installing, accessing, hosting, modifying, redistributing, or otherwise using the Work, you agree to the terms and conditions of this License.
1. Definitions
1.1 Work
The “Work” means the complete custom terrain project and all included data, including but not limited to:
Terrain and heightmap data
Satellite imagery
Terrain materials and layers
World configurations
Environmental configurations
Scripts and packaged systems
Object placement data
Source files
Compiled files
Any updates or revisions released by the Author
1.2 Author
The “Author” refers to the creator and copyright holder of the Work.
1.3 Derivative Work
A “Derivative Work” means any modified, adapted, extracted, repackaged, converted, or dependent work created from or using the Work.
2. Grant of License
Subject to the restrictions and conditions set forth herein, the Author grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
Download and use the Work with Arma Reforger;
Host the Work on multiplayer servers;
Redistribute the unmodified Work in its original form only, provided this License remains included and unchanged.
No ownership rights are transferred under this License.
3. Restrictions
Except where expressly permitted by this License or authorized in writing by the Author, you may NOT:
3.1 Scenario and Mission Restrictions
You may NOT create, publish, distribute, upload, monetize, host, or otherwise make available any:
Scenario;
Mission;
Game mode;
Campaign;
Conflict configuration;
Capture & Hold configuration;
Gameplay layer;
Persistent server setup;
Scripted event;
Workshop scenario;
Modified gameplay variant; or
Other gameplay framework
which uses, references, depends upon, incorporates, loads, or is otherwise built upon the Work, unless prior written permission has been granted by the Author.
Permission may be granted on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the Author.
This restriction applies to both public and private distributions, including but not limited to:
Workshop uploads;
Dedicated servers;
Community repositories;
Discord distributions;
Monetized communities;
Private mod packs; and
Modified or partially modified versions of the Work.
3.2 Derivative Works
You may NOT:
Modify and redistribute the Work;
Reupload the Work under another name;
Extract or reuse assets from the Work;
Bundle the Work with other content packages;
Port or convert the Work to another game or platform;
Mirror or archive the Work on third-party services without authorization.
3.3 Commercial Use
Commercial exploitation of the Work or any Derivative Work is prohibited unless expressly authorized in writing by the Author.
4. Server Hosting
Server operators may host the unmodified Work solely for gameplay purposes.
Server hosting permission does NOT grant rights to:
Develop or operate custom scenarios using the Work;
Create derivative gameplay configurations;
Modify gameplay layers;
Redistribute modified versions of the Work.
5. Ownership and Intellectual Property
The Work remains the exclusive intellectual property of the Author.
All rights not expressly granted by this License are reserved.
Bohemia Interactive, Arma Reforger, and all related trademarks, game assets, and engine technologies remain the property of their respective owners.
6. Termination
This License automatically terminates upon any breach of its terms.
Upon termination, you must immediately cease:
Use of the Work;
Distribution of the Work; and
Distribution or operation of any unauthorized Derivative Works.
7. No Warranty
The Work is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
The Author shall not be liable for:
Software conflicts;
Data loss;
Server instability;
Compatibility issues;
Service interruptions; or
Any damages arising from use of the Work.
8. Enforcement
The Author reserves the right to request removal of any unauthorized content or distribution involving the Work.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Unauthorized Workshop uploads;
Reuploads;
Scenario packs;
Modified terrain versions;
Unauthorized server packages; and
Third-party mirrors.
9. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Work, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this License.
