ArmaField is a framework that brings classic Battlefield-style, large-scale combined-arms warfare to Arma Reforger. Classes, squads, and vehicles clash across the map in dynamic, objective-based battles of up to 64v64 players, with the strategic depth and scale Arma is known for.

This package is the Core of ArmaField. It is not a finished, standalone content pack: it is the foundation that everything else plugs into. On top of the Core you can build your own maps, custom loadouts, new game modes, faction packs, vehicle sets, and more, without touching any of the underlying game logic.


# What Framework provides

Game systems:
- Conquest game mode with ticket-based scoring, round timer, and flag capture points (A, B, C, ...)
- Deploy menu with multiple spawn options: team spawn, capture point, squad spawn on a teammate, and vehicle spawns
- Class-based loadouts (assault, engineer, support and recon) with configurable weapons, attachments, gadgets, and grenades
- Arcade-inspired gadgets out of the box: MedKit with area healing, AmmoBag with tick-based category refill, and magazine auto-repack
- Map voting and seeding system that picks maps based on average player count

Backend:
- A dedicated backend stores all persistent data: player profiles, loadouts, and stats
- Open-source and available at https://github.com/ArmaField/ArmaField-BackEnd, updated alongside the mod when needed
- Server hosts run their own instance and keep full control over their player data

UI:
- Custom Deploy, Squad, and Loadout menus with 3D previews
- HUD and 3D map markers for capture points
- Game Over and Map Vote screens

Workbench tooling for mappers:
- Game Mode Setup plugin that generates a ready-to-use ArmaField world template in one click
- Built-in validator that checks the map is correctly set up before publishing


# Why a framework

ArmaField is designed as a Core so the community can extend it without forking. You can add your own maps, loadouts, classes, factions, vehicles, weapons, and even new game modes as separate addons on top of the Core.

Full documentation (installation, usage, addon creation, loadout configuration, and more) will be published at https://armafield.gg. Until then, users comfortable with Arma Reforger modding can set things up and go from what is already shipped in the Core.


# Roadmap

Key priorities on the horizon:
- Console support (closest milestone)

- Ongoing polish of existing systems and UI: killfeed, weapon info panel, TAB scoreboard, and more
