Helicopter cooldown timer and penalty system for Conflict. All helo spawns trigger a per-player 10-min cooldown timer. Rocket helos also cost one rank. Server-configurable. Work in progress.
Description
HeloTimer adds a helicopter cooldown and penalty system to Conflict mode. Every time a player spawns any helicopter, a 10-minute personal cooldown begins — during that time, the player cannot spawn any helicopter type anywhere on the map. Rocket helicopters (armed gunships with HE/HEDP loadouts) carry an additional penalty: the spawning player is deranked by one rank on top of the cooldown. Transport and standard armed helicopters trigger the cooldown only, with no rank penalty. If a player attempts to spawn any helicopter while on cooldown, the spawn is blocked and supplies are refunded. Both the cooldown duration and rank penalty are fully adjustable by server admins in Workbench. This mod is a work in progress with continuous updates expected. Currently, setup requires server admins to manually add the HeloTimerGameModeComponent script to the GameMode entity in their World in Workbench.
