Did you know? Axolotls are regeneration masters! They can perfectly regrow limbs, hearts, and even parts of their brains without any scarring.
Description
Axolotls are the ultimate survivalists of the animal kingdom. They don’t just heal wounds; they can perfectly regenerate entire limbs, hearts, spinal cords, and even parts of their brains without any scarring. Scientists study them constantly, hoping to unlock those same "auto-repair" secrets for human medicine.
Did you know? Axolotls are "neotenic," which is a fancy way of saying they experience a lifelong identity crisis. Unlike other salamanders, they never undergo a full metamorphosis. They choose to keep their larval traits—like those feathery external gills and a finned tail—and stay underwater their entire lives instead of moving to land.
