Description

Expansion Overview
  The Invasion Expansion evolves the classic tug-of-war into a dynamic, persistent 3-way war. While the Resistance and
  Occupiers battle for the soul of the island, a third global power—the Invaders—awaits the moment to strike. They don’t
  just harass; they conquer, establishing their own territory and challenging both the players and the original AI for
  total dominance.


  This expansion isn't just an "addon"—it is a deep-level integration. We have harmoniously hooked into Freedom
  Fighters' native battle logic, streaming systems, and persistence to ensure the Invaders feel like a natural, physical
  part of the world.

  Key Features


  1. Seamless Setup
  Right from the start, you are in control. In the New Game menu, you'll find a new option to select your Invader
  Faction. Whether you choose vanilla giants or modded forces, they will remain a "silent threat" in the shadows until
  the time is right.


  2. The Dynamic Crisis (The Trigger)
  The Invaders respect your progress. They will only enter the sector once the Resistance proves itself to be a
  legitimate threat. When you capture enough territory, the Invasion Director triggers a mid-game crisis, complete with
  global notifications to alert all players that the rules of the war have changed forever.


  3. Living, Physical 3-Way Warfare
  We have expanded the core FF systems to ensure AI-vs-AI combat is as visceral as player combat:
   * Enhanced Streaming: We’ve updated the native streaming logic. Occupier bases will now "wake up" and physically
     spawn their defenders whenever Invader strike teams approach. You can witness massive, real-time battles between
     two AI armies even when you are miles away.
   * Advanced Capture Logic: Invaders utilize the same capture mechanics as players. They physically advance progress
     bars, trigger base alarms, and can officially claim zones—flipping flags and map icons natively within the FF UI.
   * Persistent Pressure: If the Invaders are pushed off the map, they don't give up. The Director will regroup and
     launch new "Beachhead" operations to reclaim their foothold, targeting any base not under their control.


  4. Balanced Logistics & Performance
  To honor the performance-friendly nature of the original mod, we’ve implemented smart caps:
   * Territory Scaling: The Invaders are designed to be a dangerous neighbor, not a map-wiping entity. Their expansion
     waves halt once they reach a territory limit that dynamically scales based on your player count.
   * Ambient Integration: Once established, Invaders utilize the native FF Ambient Traffic system to run armored patrols
     and convoys, making their territory feel alive and heavily defended.


  5. Full Campaign Persistence
  The Invasion Expansion is built to be "Persistence-Ready."
   * Native Save/Load: Using the Freedom Fighters database system, the Director remembers everything—the invasion state,
     the chosen faction, and the exact GPS coordinates of every active Invader squad and vehicle. Your 3-way war resumes
     exactly where you left it.
