The mod uses a crash-resilient save system with budgeted disk writes, periodic XP capture, and minimal IO overhead to prevent performance spikes — even with thousands of unique players per month. Data is stored per player identity and managed using an epoch-based wipe system, allowing scheduled rank resets without mass file deletion.
Admins can configure automatic weekly (or multi-day) wipes at specific times, optional scheduled server restarts with countdown announcements, and full timezone support via offset configuration. Wipes are designed to occur safely on server startup to avoid mid-game disruption.
Built with performance and stability as top priorities, FTA Persistent Ranks integrates cleanly with vanilla XP systems while avoiding unnecessary engine save transactions, making it ideal for competitive or long-running servers that require reliable progression persistence.
