Description
Saving Markers Saving Markers is an essential Quality of Life (QoL) improvement for players and communities who rely on detailed map planning and reconnaissance. It brings back a vital piece of the classic Arma experience. Never worry about losing critical tactical information due to sudden disconnects, server restarts, or reloading saved games. This mod ensures that all markers placed on the map are automatically saved and restored.
Key Features
--- Full Persistence: All markers placed on the map remain available after rejoining a server, recovering from a disconnect, or reloading a game save.
--- Duplicate Protection: Prevents identical markers from stacking on top of each other, keeping your map clean and readable. --- Unlimited Planning: Removed the original game marker limit for all clients.
--- Expanded the marker text limit (x3) for more detailed notes.
Technical Notes & Limitations
-- This is NOT intended for PVP as the enemy team will see the markers after the restart as well. The mod is designed for PVE campaigns.
--- Restored Markers: Markers loaded from a save file cannot be dragged. If you need to move a restored marker, simply delete it and place a new one at the desired location.
--- After reconnecting, the client will see duplicate markers placed during the session. This is only a visual bug for the client (due to vanilla marker replication system), the server stores the markers normally. After restart will be OK.
--- All markers are stored in a special JSON file in you/server reforger profile folder, named like you mission name.
--- The modification has no limit on the number of markers placed, but you should understand that like any object in the game, the more of them there are, the more they require performance.
