Summary
Realism movement (or hardcore movement) for Sunshine's Heroes, but also anyone else looking for a different take on such realism tweaks.
Description
Liable to fine-tuning as I have made this with my hardcore-realism PvE server in mind. I have also very much considered hardcore-realism PvP too; the slower, much less erratic character handling should also result in better hit reg due to less desync.
The mod changes a variety of character locomotive traits. All tweaks are done by feel and by testing, there is no universal reduction.
-All Movement speeds lowered across all stances and circumstances;
-Slope speeds affected. No more speed boost when descending stairs or slopes, making interior CQB much more tactical. Ascending slopes is also slower than vanilla.
-Lean speeds much lower;
-MUCH more granular "adjust leaning" making this feature significantly more usable;
-Increased character inertia;
-Jump height reduced (but not climb height);
-Fall heights lowered; the "light" and "medium" fall animations activate from lesser heights. You also fall uncon from much shorter falls. This makes vertical movement limits a two-way street;
-Stamina drain for "run" and "sprint" half of vanilla rates to compensate for slower speeds;
-Stamina recovery rate increased by roughly 50% over vanilla rate;
-Walking up and over camo-nets is either made impossible or extremely slow;
-No more walking over many small world props such as chairs, boxes, and other objects that always cause sudden, erratic changes in character height. Interior infantry combat should be much more pleasant because of this;
-Player will ragdoll at slower vehicle speeds when alighting (vanilla: 25kmh; modded: 15kmh).
This creates character locomotion that is more about strategy: strategic pathing, strategic positioning; moving away from erratic vanilla movements that result in very non-milsim infantry combat (and desync).
