PQD Quality of Life is a comprehensive interface enhancement mod for Arma Reforger
that improves the player experience with multiple quality-of-life features including
HUD improvements, map markers, nametag systems, and customizable settings.
This mod combines several interface improvements into a single, unified package:
- Compass HUD with bearing display
- Earplug system for audio protection
- Stamina bar indicator
- Friendly player map markers with Vanilla symbols
- Position indicator
- Dynamic nametag range system
- Fully customizable settings menu

1. COMPASS HUD
- Circular compass display at the top of the screen
- Real-time bearing numbers (000-359)
- Works correctly in vehicles and on foot
- Can be toggled on/off in settings
2. EARPLUG SYSTEM (F2)
- Toggle ear protection with F2 key
- Reduces audio volume when active
- Visual icon indicator when earplugs are active
- Gamepad support: LB + D-Pad Down
3. STAMINA BAR
- Dynamic stamina indicator
- Color-coded: Green → Yellow → Red based on stamina level
- Auto-hides when stamina is full
- Smooth fade in/out animation
4. MAP MARKERS
- Real-time position markers for friendly players on the map
- Vanilla military symbols
- Player names displayed on markers
- Can be toggled on/off in settings
5. POSITION INDICATOR
- Shows current grid coordinates
- Displays nearest location name
- Updates in real-time as you move
- Can be toggled on/off in settings
6. DYNAMIC NAMETAG SYSTEM
- Adjustable nametag display range (5m - 250m)
- Adjustable icon display range (50m - 2500m)

HOW IT WORKS

MAP MARKER SYSTEM
-----------------
The map marker system tracks all friendly players and displays their positions
on the tactical map. Each player's marker is updated in real-time and shows:
- Current position
- Player name
- Role-based Vanilla symbol (automatically detected)
SETTINGS SYSTEM
---------------
All settings are saved locally per player and persist between sessions.
Server administrators can use the "Server Override" feature to force specific
settings for all players on the server.
Setting Priority:
1. Server Override (if active) - Forces value for all players
2. Local Player Setting - Individual player preference
NAMETAG RANGE SYSTEM
--------------------
The mod overrides the default nametag configuration to allow dynamic ranges:
- Nametag Range: Controls at what distance player names are visible
- Icon Range: Controls at what distance player icons are visible
Both values can be adjusted in the settings menu and are applied in real-time.

2. Toggle features by clicking ON/OFF buttons
3. Adjust slider values by dragging the slider
4. Press ESC or click CLOSE to save and exit
FOR SERVER ADMINISTRATORS

Admins have access to additional "Server Override" controls:
- OVR: Toggle server override for a setting
- Server ON/OFF: Set the forced value when override is active
When a setting has server override enabled:
- All players will use the server-forced value
- Individual player settings are temporarily ignored
- Players can see override is active (controls are grayed out)
MAP MARKERS

1. Open the map (M key by default)
2. Friendly player markers appear automatically
3. Markers update in real-time
4. Toggle visibility in settings if desired
