What it does: This mod adds customizable HUD markers that track up to 2 entities (vehicles, buildings, objectives, etc.) in your game world with dynamic visual feedback based on distance. Perfect for mission objectives, extraction points, or important assets that players need to keep track of. Key Features: Distance-responsive visuals: Icons automatically scale larger when close and smaller when far away Smart fading: Markers fade out at distance to reduce visual clutter Distance display: Shows real-time distance in meters (< 1km) or kilometers (≥ 1km) Adaptive positioning: Distance labels can dynamically move below scaled icons Intelligent tracking: Automatically handles destroyed or deleted entities with re-resolve attempts Performance optimized: Distance text updates at configurable intervals to maintain smooth framerates How it works: The script continuously tracks configured target entities in the game world Each frame, it projects the 3D world position onto your 2D screen Distance to player is calculated and mapped to a 0-1 range between configurable near/far thresholds Visual properties (scale, opacity) are interpolated based on this distance factor Icons grow larger and more opaque when you're close, shrink and fade when you're far If a target is destroyed, the script attempts to re-find it by name (useful for respawning objectives) Setup: Add the script as an InfoDisplay in the HUD Component of your Base_Character prefab, configure your target entities and visual parameters, then link it to a matching .layout file containing the marker widgets.
