TacticalSquad makes unsupported solo roaming costly while players remain free to form ad-hoc teams.

Every two seconds the server checks live human players. Any same-faction player within 150 m counts as support, regardless of vanilla group, custom lobby, leader slot or mission prefab. Two observers from different groups therefore support one another. If one dies, the survivor is isolated until reaching another living ally. There is no time buffer: the state updates on the next server scan.

Isolation grows with distance: 150-300 m is 0-35%, 300-450 m is 35-75%, and past 450 m it reaches 100%. An isolated player running at 3 m/s or faster builds stress even without receiving damage. Damage from kinetic, fragmentation or explosive sources opens a stronger 90-second stress window. Firing while isolated is also stressful: the first detected shot raises stress to at least 25, and continued fire adds stress gradually.

At 25 stress, the mod adds a distance- and stress-scaled vanilla stamina drain. Above that threshold the local camera receives Enfusion's native radial blur and chromatic aberration; at high stress the vanilla pulse sound is used. The effects are owner-local and the server sends only that player's compact stress value. TacticalSquad never forces walking, blocks sprinting, caps speed or empties stamina.

Add the mod to the server list. It starts automatically in vanilla and custom scenarios based on SCR_BaseGameMode; no mission edits or component placement are required.
