The Community Vote System is a voting system that integrates with the Arma Reforger voting system, which enables communities to democratically manage gameplay settings through player initiated votes. This way players to collectively decide on game parameters without requiring admin intervention.
Available Voting Categories:
Killfeed:
Players can vote to enable or disable the killfeed
Weather:
Players can vote to change the current weather with the following options
- Clear
- Overcast
- Rainy
Time of Day:
Players can vote to change the current time of day with the following options
- Morning (8:00 AM)
- Noon (12:00 PM)
- Night (9:00 PM)
Customization Instructions:
Editing Voting Groups
Within the `VotingGroupsConfig.conf`, you can control which categories and individual options are available:
- To disable an entire voting category (like Weather, Time, or Killfeed), set that group as disabled in the configuration file.
- To disable specific voting options within a category (for example, allowing only "Clear" and "Overcast" weather but not "Rainy"), you can mark just those options as disabled.
Editing Voting Options
Within your game mode's `SCR_VotingManagerComponent`, you can:
- Adjust vote thresholds (what percentage of players must agree for a vote to pass).
- Set minimum player participation required for a vote.
- Customize vote notifications, names, and descriptions displayed to players.
- Control the duration of each vote (how long players have to make their decision).
