Description
Faithful recreation of Combat Outpost Keating, the legendary US military outpost located in Nuristan Province, Afghanistan. This remote outpost was infamously positioned at the bottom of a steep valley, surrounded by mountains on three sides, making it extremely vulnerable to enemy attacks.
The map recreates the tactical disadvantages and defensive challenges faced by the less than 60 soldiers stationed there. Built on low ground in a river valley, the outpost was considered one of the most dangerous positions in the Afghan conflict, culminating in the intense battle of October 3, 2009, when 400 Taliban fighters launched a coordinated assault.
Perfect for MILSIM operations, assault/defense scenarios, and cooperative gameplay. The terrain features steep mountain slopes, defensive bunkers, guard positions, and the characteristic vulnerable layout that made COP Keating both strategically important and tactically challenging.
Recommended for 20-40 players. Supports US Army vs Insurgent factions with limited vehicle support to maintain historical accuracy. Designed for intense close-quarters combat and 360-degree defensive scenarios.
