Summary
My interpretation of the TAB77 M1983 Prototype built by Soviet controlled Romania
Description
The TAB77 M1983 was a prototype variant of the TAB77 Armoured Personnel Carrier of the Socialist Republic of Romania, attempting to make it into a suitable IFV. This prototype took the TAB77 (a licensed and modified version of the Soviet BTR-70) and introduced the turret used on the MLI-84 Infantry Vehicle Turret (a modified variant of the BMP-1). Unfortunately the M1983 was not brought into production after testing in 1982. A similar attempt occured with the M1984 using a 23mm Gun, but only ten were built due to a lack of said armament.
While I could not find a definitive picture of example of the TAB-77 M1983, based on descriptions of the vehicle this is what I came with. Quite literally, just a BTR-70 with a BMP-1 IFV Turret (but using the 25mm cannon from the LAV-25 in order to provide a light weight and proper IFV mod for the USSR without requiring larger mods/RHS)
