You may know my original mod "Realistic Bell UH-1H Iroquois". Sadly I lost that project after my drive failed. Now I am back with a new mod. This time I am only overhauling the sound of the huey as many did not like the realistic flight model.

Sound Overhaul:
New rotor sounds, added the famous "slap" or "chop"
Added a fully custom startup sound
Added a custom shutdown sound
Added engine noises and compressor noises
Added distant slap and engine noises
Added power buzz
Added a custom avionics fan spinup

Yes the interior will be loud as is in the real aircraft. I am open to toning this down a bit because it may be hard to hear your teammates. I also do recommend your server to have the WCS earplugs mod

Startup is 55 seconds. You will have to watch the RPM guage, when its stabilized in the green you are ready to lift off

Shutdown is 35 seconds. Only issue as of now with it is it will play the full wav clip and if you immediatly startup the huey again the shutdown and startup sound will overlap. I don't have a solution at this time.

Distant sounds will need tweaking with your feedback. I have included the new audio system that Bohemia implimented recently, which adds dynamic audio reflections. I have created a custom amplitude curve that cuts off at 2000m. On some smaller maps this might be an issue, but I will need your feedback. There is also a directivity curve that is experimental. But its intended design is to simulate how direction impacts the sounds of the helicopter in real life.

I have edited the base prefab of the huey. In theory these changes should be inherited over to the new variants Bohemia added to the game. If there are any issues with this please contact me on discord
