Description
The Glock is a series of reliable, lightweight semi-automatic pistols developed by the Austrian company Glock GmbH. Made with a durable polymer frame and a simple, easy-to-maintain design, Glock pistols are widely used by military and law enforcement forces around the world.
In the British Army, the Glock 17 is the standard issue sidearm, officially designated as the L131A1. It replaced the older Browning Hi-Power in 2013, offering improved reliability, magazine capacity, and ease of use. The more compact Glock 19, known as the L132A1, is also in service primarily with United Kingdom Special Forces (UKSF) and other specialist units who require a smaller, more concealable pistol for close-quarters and covert operations.
