The BMP-1 and BMP-1P are Soviet-designed infantry fighting vehicles with versatile capabilities. These tracked armored vehicles are renowned for their ability to transport infantry while providing fire support. They are armed with a 73mm smoothbore gun and an anti-tank guided missile launcher, making them effective against both armored vehicles and infantry. Additionally, they feature machine guns and carry a crew of three with space for up to eight infantry troops. The BMP-1P variant boasts improved night-fighting capabilities, making it suitable for a wider range of combat scenarios.
