Bent-Rad Hold the Front

Adds a living front line to your game. Push the enemy back, take ground and fight your way to your objectives.

HOW TO PLAY
1. Open your map. The red line is the front. Your side is behind it, the enemy is across it.
2. Fight up to the line and push across. Friendly squads spawn behind you and push with you.
3. Hold a stretch of the line for 40 seconds and it moves forward. Lose it and it moves back.

WHAT IT DOES
- Both sides spawn behind their side of the line, near the players, and meet on the line. A very long line works fine.
- Friendly squads keep coming so the fight never dies out. When a side runs low, reinforcements are sent in by truck or on foot.
- Friendly trucks bring medics and ammo up behind the line.
- The enemy comes in waves: infantry, ambushes, armour and mortars.
- Artillery, mortar barrages and jet bombing runs hit the line, never inside a base safe zone and never right on a player.
- The map shows who is winning with a coloured line and a banner like FRONT: FRIENDLY PUSHING 58% / ENEMY 42%.
- Helicopters are turned off for now.

FOR ADMINS: DRAW THE LINE
1. Open the map and click the LINE button in the tool bar.
2. Left click to add points, right click to undo.
3. Press ENTER, double click, or hit the LOCK button to lock it in. The fight moves to the new line within seconds.

INTENSITY AND PAUSE (IN GAME)
- The WAR button on the map cycles POTATO, LOW, MED, ALL-OUT.
- The PAUSE / RESUME button stops and restarts the war. PAUSE stops anything new from spawning or striking, and nothing already out there is removed.
- RESUME carries on where it left off, with the same line and the same troops. Surviving units count towards the limits, so only the gaps are filled.
- Lowering the level shrinks the caps for new spawns. Nobody is deleted, the extras just thin out as they die.
- Buttons lock for 10 seconds after each change, with a countdown on the label. The first wave after a resume waits 15 seconds.
- Chat: #intensity next, potato, low, med, allout, pause, resume.
- Admins, Game Masters and solo players can use it. It changes for everyone on the server.

PERFORMANCE
- POTATO is about 50 AI, LOW about 80, MED about 120 (default), ALL-OUT up to 170.
- AI and artillery are cut automatically when server FPS drops. Far bodies and wrecks are cleaned up.
- Start a server paused with -holdtheline OFF.
-"AI already on the map stay behind when paused or removed, until they are defeated.

WORKS WITH
- Any map, vanilla or modded, and any game mode.
- Your scenario is untouched. Capture points and tasks work as normal.
- It only ever touches what it spawned itself, never AI from other mods.
