Summary

Advance and Secure game mode: capture predefined areas of interest in a certain order, get points for each area fully captured, and win by getting more points than the other team.

Description

Also known as AAS, Tug of War, TOW and Capture and Hold.
Heavily based on "Capture & Hold" by Bohemia Interactive (591AF5BDA9F7CE8B v1.0.5). Work in progress.

Supplied with a minimal scenario to test the capturing mechanics in. https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_Reforger:Capture_%2526_Hold_Setup can be used as a general guide to set up your own scenario.

Features:
- Capturing order is defined by the Sequence Id attributes for each SCR_CaptureAndHoldArea.
- Area can be captured out of sequence by any faction if the Ids for the previous and the next area are unset.
- Area can be captured out of sequence by the specific faction if its key is set.
- Visibility distance of the area markers in the world is controlled by SCR_CaptureAndHoldAreaManager attribute.
- The capturing process is not instantaneous. Each area has its own capturing score (from 0 to 100). To capture an area the attacking faction has to neutralize the score gained by the current owner (if any) or the previous attacker (if any) down to zero, then score enough points to get it to 100 to become the owner, all that by having more players in the area than any other faction. The amount of capturing score gained or lost each tick is controlled by SCR_CaptureAndHoldAreaManager attributes.
- Capturing while sitting in a vehicle is forbidden by default (configurable through SCR_CaptureAndHoldAreaManager).
