Summary
Discovery Park is a public park in Seattle, WA, USA.
Description
Discovery Park is located in Seattle, WA, USA. It is the largest city park in Seattle at just over 530 acres, (2.1 square kilometers), and was established in 1974 on the site of the former Fort Lawton, a retired military base.
The park features many miles of trails throughout its forests and fields. The main loop trail is 2.8 miles (4.5 km) long. There are deciduous and coniferous forests, prairies, and beaches.
The park also hosts the Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Heritage Center, the Westpoint Lighthouse, the Westpoint Water Treament Plant, and an area of historical Fort Lawton buildings. The Fort Lawton military cemetary is also within the mark boundaries.
This map is a representation of the park, though it is not exact. I've tried to faithfully recreate it, though it doesn't include any custom-made objects or foliage (maybe in Discovery Park 2.0). I've also hidden a couple small easter eggs to be found in the forest along the trails. :)
