*** BETA *** This is an early test version. Multiplayer and dedicated servers have not been tested yet. Please tell me how it works for you (see WHAT TO REPORT at the end).

Gun Detach lets you take a machine gun off its mount, carry it, and put it back. Look at a mounted M60, PKM or UK-59: under "Mount: Gunner" there is a second prompt, "Detach". When the mount is empty the prompt says "Attach" instead.

Created by Goldhook420.

WHAT IT DOES
- Detach: the gun comes off the mount and is taken up in your hands. It goes into a free primary weapon slot with the belt that was loaded. If both primary slots are taken the prompt is greyed out.
- Tripods and emplacements: the spare ammo boxes on the mount go into your inventory. Whatever does not fit is left on the ground at your feet.
- Vehicles: the spare ammo stays in the vehicle.
- An empty mount has no gun to man: "Mount: Gunner" is hidden until a gun is attached again.
- Attach: look at the empty mount while you carry a compatible machine gun and the gun goes back on, with the belt it had loaded. From then on it is a normal tripod, emplacement or vehicle gun again.
- Nobody can attach or detach while someone is sitting on the mount.
- On the UAZ-469 the prompts are also offered at the door handles.

MOUNTS AND GUNS
- MG M60 Emplacement and the M122 tripod: M60
- MG PKM Emplacement and the 6T5 tripod: PKM
- UAZ-469 Off-road - PKM (the FIA one too): PKM
- UAZ-469 Off-road - UK-59: UK-59 (the plain UK-59, not the scoped one)

HOW TO USE
Just load the mod. It replaces four of the base game's mount files, so every existing placement, emplacement, mission and vehicle spawner picks it up automatically - there are no new entries to place. The mod must be on the server as well as on the clients. It needs nothing but the base game.

KNOWN ISSUES (early release - please report what you see)
- Multiplayer and dedicated servers have not been tested.
- It replaces four of the game's own prefab files (the 6T5 PKM tripod, the M122 M60 tripod and the two UAZ-469 gun mounts): other mods that replace the same files will conflict with it, and it needs an update when the game changes those files.
- Only the M60, the PKM and the plain UK-59 fit their mounts. The night-sight and scoped variants and the helicopter M60 do not.
- Tripods you build yourself (deployable tripods) get the prompts too. A gun you attach to one is the standard mounted gun, not the deployable version.
- The prompt names are English only.
- What AI soldiers do around an empty mount has not been checked.

WHAT TO REPORT (beta feedback - use the Workshop comments)
- Which mount (emplacement, tripod, UAZ PKM / UK-59) and what you did.
- Whether the gun came into your hands, whether the ammo count and spare boxes were right, and whether Attach worked with the gun you carried.
- Anything that broke: prompts missing or in the wrong place, gun stuck on the ground, errors in the log, conflicts with other weapon or vehicle mods.
- Whether it works on a server.
