VANT-VM Shield

VANT-VM ballistic shield for Arma Reforger.

Two variants: khaki in the USSR arsenal and black with white SWAT lettering in the US/NATO arsenal. Uses the secondary weapon slot and a two-handed rear crossbar grip. The stowed shield is carried on the back using the stock RPG draw/stow transitions.

Dimensions follow the supplied drawing: 1200 x 470 mm, 28 mm main plate, raised six-sided front, separate lower apron, narrow ballistic window and five compact front lamps. Four nonempty visual LODs retain the shield silhouette.

Lights: use the standard flashlight-toggle action or the shield interaction to cycle OFF > STEADY > STROBE. Bright forward lamps can dazzle observers looking into the beam; walls block the glare. Lights switch off on the back.

Directional protection: the shield blocks bullets across its covered area. Frontal blast protection applies while facing the grenade; rear and side threats remain dangerous.

Version 0.3.1: refined PBR cloth, webbing, rubber and coated metal; corrected UVs and visor-frame overlap; anatomical arm/finger translations preserved; standing/crouching grip stabilized; back carry moved 11 cm closer.

Local Workbench validation: 29 checks, 57 ammunition prefabs, front/rear M67, five lamps/strobe and occluded glare. Multiplayer/JIP, every equipment combination and a fresh close-up gameplay inspection of hand contact remain unverified. Preview images are studio renders of the actual addon model/materials.

Credits: original shield geometry and procedural textures authored for this project from the user-provided VANT-VM drawing and reference photos. Modified sample IK/offset poses are from Bohemia Interactive Arma-Reforger-Samples under the Arma Public License (APL). Native game graphs and draw/stow clips are referenced, not redistributed as extracted source. No third-party shield mesh or photographs are included.

Защита от пуль по площади щита и от фронтального взрыва. Перед применением на основном сервере проверьте поведение с вашей экипировкой и набором модов.
