Guerra del Caribe

Summary

EN: 7 fictional Caribbean factions (1990–1996) for Game Master – own camo patterns, flags, coat of arms patches, units and groups.

Description

A fictional conflict in the Caribbean. While the world believes the Cold War is ending, the islands and coasts of the Caribbean are burning. Old republics, revolutionaries, free peoples, mountain guerrillas and mercenaries fight for land, harbours and freedom – and the USA and the Soviet Union secretly arm their friends.

7 new factions for the GAME MASTER – each with its own camo pattern, flag, coat of arms, faces, units and groups.

== THE FACTIONS ==

REPÚBLICA DE VALMARCA – Ejército de Valmarca (BLUFOR)
The oldest republic in the region. For decades a small, rich elite ruled the plantations and harbours, protected by the army. When the poor rose up, Valmarca asked the USA for help and received American weapons and advisers. Its soldiers wear their own woodland camo on US BDU uniforms.

TIERRA DE LOS LIBERADOS – Ejército Popular de Liberación (OPFOR)
Born from the uprising against Valmarca. Farmers, workers and students drove the big landowners out of the north and proclaimed their own state. The Soviet Union sends weapons and instructors – but their favourite weapon remains the captured M21. "Selva" camo.
Allied with: Soviet Union, Negros.

NACIÓN INDEPENDIENTE DE LOS NEGROS (OPFOR)
The descendants of the Cimarrones – enslaved people who fled into the jungle centuries ago. Oppressed and kept without rights in Valmarca for generations, they proclaimed their own nation. Moscow sees them as a natural ally and equips them with Soviet naval infantry uniforms in their own "Cimarrón" camo.
Allied with: Soviet Union, Liberados.

COSTA DE SANT HORTIS (independent)
A rich coastal trading state that wants to stay out of everything – and therefore trusts nobody. Its army buys whatever the arms market offers: uniforms in "Costa" camo, sand-coloured "Santamar" for the marines, American rifles. Sant Hortis fights everyone who crosses its border.
Allied with: nobody.

MILICIA DE LAS MONTAÑAS – Milicia Popular, Frente de Liberación (OPFOR)
Guerrillas from the mountains. They fight with whatever they can find: old tiger stripe uniforms, captured American and Soviet weapons. They carry the Soviet flag and secretly receive supplies from Moscow.
Allied with: Soviet Union.

COMPAÑÍA CÓNDOR – "Sine Patria" (independent)
A multinational mercenary company of former special forces soldiers. "Sine Patria" means "without a fatherland". No country, no flag – only the contract. They fight for whoever pays the most, in their own "Mestizo" camo and black body armour.
Allied with: nobody.

REPÚBLICA DE MONTEVERDE – Fuerzas Militares de Monteverde (BLUFOR)
A small, proud republic with the motto "Unidad y Trabajo". To survive between revolutionaries and mercenaries, Monteverde allied itself with the USA. Its army wears the "Monte" camo, marines, light riflemen and militia a plain grey-green uniform – and every helmet is a PASGT with Monte cover.
Allied with: USA.
