Freedom Fighters is a game mode revolving around guerilla warfare, designed for solo play and co-op with 2 to 8 players.
It is a persistent campaign spanning from 10 to 60 hours of gameplay, depending on the terrain and difficulty settings. It combines sandbox gameplay with an objective-based campaign. The goal is to capture or neutralize all enemy points of interest on the map in any order, but it can be also played infinitely due to its emergent gameplay style. Whether you want to conduct 8-hour long ops over several months in a persistent campaign with your squad, or jump in for a quick 30-minute supply run twice a week - both playstyles are viable.
A successful takeover will require from you:
- building and developing FOBs in strategic locations
- stocking up on supplies, captured vehicles and gear
- raising money, because to wage war you need three things: money, money and a little bit of money on top of that
- gathering local population support to ensure you are not going into the battle alone
- balancing resistance activity against threat from the enemy
- completing missions for the resistance
The project is inspired by earlier game modes developed by the fantastic Arma series community, such as Antistasi, KP Liberation, Old Man and Overthrow - if you liked any of those, this mod will be your go-to content in Arma Reforger.
