UAV

Drones for Arma Reforger. The Game Master puts an MQ-1C Gray Eagle on a circling orbit and orders attacks with laser-guided Hellfire missiles. With the UAV SOFLAM bridge, players on the ground can call the drone by laser code.

Work in progress: control from a ground station is still to come. Settings and behaviour can change.

  THE DRONE
  - MQ-1C Gray Eagle with landing gear, propeller, control surfaces and sensor turret
  - Four Hellfire missiles on rails under the wings
  - Engine sound, start-up smoke, landing gear retracts in flight

  GAME MASTER: ORBIT
  - Place "MQ-1C Gray Eagle (Kreisbahn)" (Vehicles, US). A shrunk drone shows the preview, and its facing direction is the direction the drone arrives from.
  - Set altitude, radius, direction and loiter time in minutes, then switch on "Drohne starten".
  - The drone flies in from far outside, circles and leaves when its fuel reserve is reached.
  - Change altitude, radius, direction or remaining time in flight: the drone turns smoothly onto the new circle.
  - A fuel bar with the remaining time is shown under the drone.

  GAME MASTER: ATTACK
  - "Ziel angreifen (direkt)": direct attack on a point, vehicle, soldier or group
  - "Ziel angreifen (von oben)": top attack, where the missile climbs, glides and dives steeply onto the target
  - The drone turns in from where it is, flies a short straight run and fires between 600 m and 2500 m, then returns to its circle.
  - The sensor turret lases the target and the missile follows the laser spot. It leads moving targets.
  - Shaped-charge warhead that penetrates tank armour
  - The attack marker moves with the target until impact.
  - A busy icon at the drone shows the state: yellow = acquiring a laser spot, orange = attack run, red = missile in flight. The attack buttons are greyed out meanwhile.
  - "Angriff abbrechen" cancels the attack before the missile is fired.

  LASER ON CALL (optional)
  With the SOFLAM Integration Core and the bridge addon "UAV SOFLAM", the Game Master can give the drone a laser code. When a player lases a target with that code for long enough, the drone attacks on its own. Without the bridge these settings
  are greyed out.
