Description
# DLG Loot Spawner
Random loot in the buildings of the whole map and in loot areas, set up by server owners through JSON.
Loot Spawner scans the map for buildings and named locations at start and gives every building a loot
type. Loot is only spawned near players, on floors, tables and shelves the mod measures itself. When
nobody is near, the untouched loot is removed but the roll is kept, so the entity count stays low and
nobody can re-roll a building by walking away and back.
## Features
- Loot in buildings across the map: residential, commercial, industrial, medical, police and military
buildings get different loot
- Cities, towns, villages, bases, airports and ports change the loot chance; ordinary buildings on
bases and airports count as military, in ports as industrial
- Loot spots on every story, found by traces: no loot in walls or on roofs
- Five modes: survival, survival plus, military, medical and industrial. Add your own as a JSON file
- A general loot pool in JSON with categories, tiers, weights, stack sizes and extras (magazines next
to a weapon). Add or remove items with your own pool file
- Blacklist for items that must never spawn
- Magazines are partly filled, set per mode
- Respawn timer, despawn radius and a server-wide item limit
- Loot Area: an area with its own mode, density, respawn time, item limit, building loot and ground
spots (camps, fields, crash sites)
- Place it in Workbench or as Game Master
- Change it in the Game Master attributes; "Refresh loot now" rolls it again
- Define standalone areas or profiles in Areas.json
- Smaller areas win over larger ones where they overlap
- Game Master placed and changed loot areas are saved through DLG Core
- Loot report: an HTML page on the server listing every area, its buildings, the loot it rolls and
what needs attention
## Required on server and clients
The Loot Area is a replicated entity with Game Master attributes. The server and all players need the
mod.
## Dependencies
- Arma Reforger
- DLG Core
## Configuration
All settings are JSON files in the server profile, created with defaults on the first start:
```
$profile:DLG/<namespace>/LootSpawner/
LootSpawner.json settings
Modes/ one file per mode
Pool/ default.json + your own pool files
Areas.json loot areas and area profiles
LootReport.html loot report
```
Missing keys are added on start; your values are kept. Main settings in LootSpawner.json: enabled,
mode, worldLoot, activationRadius, despawnRadius, despawnSeconds, respawnMinutes (45), maxItems
(3000), blacklist, location and building type rules. Game Master placed and changed loot areas are
saved in Global/LootSpawner.json.
## Setup
Add DLG Core's `DLG_CoreComponent` to the scenario's game mode. The loot spawner registers itself with
Core. Optionally add `DLG_LootSpawnerComponent` to the game mode to set the scenario's defaults.
## Notes
- The default pool contains vanilla items only.
- Loot cooldowns don't persist over restarts.
- Not included: item condition, random attachments, vehicle loot, loot in containers.
## Other DLG mods
- DLG Core: persistence and shared services for all DLG mods
- DLG Shop: traders, player accounts and cash
- DLG Vehicle Lock: owned vehicles, keys and locks
- DLG Game Master Additions: Map Entity Hider and Safe Zone
- DLG Encounters: dynamic encounters and missions with rewards
- DLG Survival PvPvE Scenario: the survival scenario built on all of them
