With less than three months left to go until the August 1 submission deadline for Make Arma Not War 2025, we’ve seen some incredible mods already entered by the community. However, we’ve also noticed a few recurring issues that could lead to disqualification that are easily correctable.
The primary issue we're seeing is that many submissions have incorrectly tagged their entries, either by submitting to multiple categories, or by submitting to an incorrect category for their particular entry. So, we'd like to recap what each category entails, and how to submit your mod correctly to a single category. The competition invites creators to submit their best mods in one of three categories: Assets, Playable Content, and Wildcard.
Assets are individual elements that include objects, textures, terrains, vehicles, weapons, sound files, animations, buildings, and other similar resources.
Playable Content refers to scenarios, game modes, or campaigns. While there may be new or other assets in this content, the primary focus will be judged on the experience of the scenario or game mode, not the items within it.
Wildcard is really anything else that doesn't fit in the previous two categories. Submissions for this can range from scripts, gameplay mechanics, or unique content that brings an unexpected twist to the game. Anything experimental or unconventional that doesn’t clearly fit the above categories.
We also have the Don't Fight Alone Special Award, but this prize is picked from all entries regardless of category. So we won't really worry about this award for now.

Each individual entry must be uploaded to the Arma Reforger Workshop and submitted to one of the previously mentioned contest categories, but we've seen many submissions either being submitted to multiple categories or tagged incorrectly altogether. These issues can mean your mod, even if unintentional, can be disqualified.
Each entry may only be submitted to ONE category. Submitting to multiple categories can result in disqualification.
Each entry should be submitted to the most relevant category to its content. Submitting to the wrong category can result in your mod not being evaluated on the correct criteria.
Every entry must be submitted using the MANW_2025 tag as well as a category tag. Failing to use a category tag will result in your mod not being entered into the competition.
How to Submit Your Mod Correctly
First and foremost, you'll need to make sure your mod is in a state that's ready to be published on the Arma Reforger Workshop. That means more than just technical stability, but that you yourself understand and meet the contest requirements of being of the legal age, that this entry doesn't violate any game EULA or Terms and Conditions, and you hold the rights to all content included in your entry. Double-check that you're not in violation of any other Contest Rules before moving forward. Once you're confident everything is in order, you're ready to continue:
Open your mod in the Arma Reforger Tools to prepare uploading it to the Arma Reforger Workshop.
Before uploading, you'll need to manually enter the contest and prize category tags under the tags line when going to publish. You will write: MANW_2025 (exact spelling matters!) as shown in the photo example below (marked in red).
Next, in the same line, write in one (1) prize category in the tags that best represents your mod, as written below (we used Playable Content for our example):
Assets
Playable_Content
Wildcard
Do not use multiple prize category tags. Only one should be applied. If your entry works in two or more categories, please select the most appropriate and clearly describe what it contains in the description when submitting it to the Workshop.
Once you believe you have written the prize category that best applies to your mod and a great description, go ahead and upload. You'll know if you have done it correctly by checking to see if it appears on our Entries page with the correct tags listed at the top.
Finally, you'll want to ensure your Bohemia Interactive Account has the following filled out in the Billing section:
Name
Address
Email Address
Country
If it all appears correctly, you're good to go!

Once entered, you'll have up until the submission deadline on August 1, 2025, to refine or update your mod. If you've already uploaded in the past and are realizing now that you made a mistake in your tags, don't worry, you can update and change to correct your entry up until the submission deadline. Once the deadline is passed, however, entries cannot be updated or retagged during the review phase and until the announcement of winners on November 5, 2025. If you plan to continue working or updating on your project past the deadline, we recommend you upload a duplicate copy of your mod for submission that will not be updated during the evaluation period, and maintain the original copy for public use and regular updates.
We hope this helps to avoid any unfortunate dismissals from the competition, and we want to thank every participant for putting your time, talent, and imagination into your submissions for Make Arma Not War 2025. We can’t wait to explore your creations and see how you push the platform forward. Best of luck in the contest, and we’ll see you on the battlefield!
